JACKIE COLLINS: PHYSICIAN ASSISTED SUICIDE?

Jackie Collins did the world a favor by talking about why she SHOULD have gotten regular mammograms because it might have saved her life. She talked about her cancer for the first time in her big interview with People magazine and died five days later. A coincidence? We think not. Jackie had just returned from London where she appeared on TV and told her sister Joan about her disease. Usually people in the last weeks of terminal illness are in NO condition to travel or appear on TV. We think Jackie had everything carefully timed. When she started feeling awful, instead of taking to her bed, she chose to end her own life. Gracefully. She avoided weeks or months of pain and anguish for her family. Jackie is our hero. It’s too bad that physician assisted suicide is not yet legal in California because this news cannot be publicized. We need to speed up the legal process and make this choice available for all Californians. It’s the civilized way to die.

  1. This should be available in all states Janet. For anyone who has a terminal disease.

  2. All here are wishing for strom to make this choice to save us from his Boring and Witless posts. Please do it soon.

  3. I’ve played golf with a friend that had terminal cancer on Friday and they died five days later. Sometimes the pain just gets to be too much and the body is just too tired and fatigue to go further.

Even when the body is rapidly dying, the human “will to live” is what we see those last few days or weeks.

  4. Remember rape justified abortion which morphed into a form of inconvenient birth control…..and you can see where that got us as a nation.

Hard case make for bad laws. Where will the lines be drawn, who has the moral compass to draw those lines? Depression, mentally challenged, deformities the most obvious OLD PEOPLE who aren’t even sick because they are not “producers” instead financial drainers so lets KILL THEM “humanly” of course…they’re gonna die soon anyway. We’ve become greedy selfish people.

  5. Maybe Jackie’s death was assisted, maybe not. I had a friend who was diagnosed with lung cancer on a Wednesday, and he was dead by the following Tuesday. In fact, he went out to dinner the Saturday before his death, unassisted.

  6. There is no certainty that mammograms would have saved her or anyone’s life.

    Poor bitter Angelo, so jealous!
