JACQUELINE BISSET: BAD THINGS HAPPEN TO GOOD PEOPLE

After Jacqueline Bisset was announced as winner for Best Supporting Actress in a TV miniseries (“Dancing on the Edge”) she took the looongest walk in history (and unsteady) to the podium to accept. Obviously overcome and flustered, she proceeded to make quite a fool of herself. We’ve always been fond of Jacqueline as a person and an actress, and we can’t help but wonder WHAT she ingested before the show that scrambled her brain to that extent. It DID provide, however, a memorable moment for a dull show.

  1. Excuse me janet, but Ms. B is almost 70 years old, she looks great and can do whatever she likes. For the record it took most of the winners a long time to get to the stage. Stop being a hater, just because you look like a joke most of the time.

  2. Back off her. She has paid her dues and maybe if they had sat her a bit closer to the stage, it wouldn’t have taken her so long. And she is still better than most of those clowns there last night.

  3. What an embarrassment! She was absolutly addled on something and made no sense at all. She was also in desperate need of a stylist, a makeup artist and a hairdresser!

  4. A really beauty from the 70’s!! Seating was bad!!! I felt sorry for her…

  5. Please! The woman is 69 years old, looks great and seems fine to me.

She was in shock as she has been overlooked and snubbed for so many years by Hollywood because she wouldn’t drop to her knees like many other young actors. It seems anyone who shows any emotion or speaks from the heart these days is labelled crazy or on drugs. MANY of the ones that are, get up and spew the same garbage about thanking god or whatever else their brain dead PR people tell them to say.

  6. Did she not have an assistant to help her, such as to suggest a nice hairdo (dead ends need trimming). So she is 69, so what. Betty White is almost 93 and she doesn’t go drugged or drunk to an awards show.

  7. To me it looked like her mind was elsewhere…on bigger problems and she was just overwhelmed that something so nice happened. Who knows, maybe she has a sick relative she is caring for or maybe she is experiencing a health challenge…?

  8. She is a fruitcake! Embarrassing indeed! She should have kept it short and sweet if she didn’t know what to say.

My best friend’s mother (who takes lots of pills and washes them down with lots of alcohol) acts EXACTLY like this after she gets loaded for the evening.
