JASON MOMOA AND LISA BONET: CUTEST COUPLE IN WORST OSCAR OUTFITS

It goes without saying that we love Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet – they are adorable and one of our FAVORITE Hollywood couples. But this year’s Oscars didn’t bring out the best in them. They really TRIED with color coordination – pink would have been hot – dreary mauve, not so much. Actually their outfits both look homemade in terms of fit and design – Jason’s ill-fitting velvet suit is STRAINING and too tight for that big frame of his. Lisa’s dress is a little too thrift shop looking. A for effort, but F for result.

  1. Karl Lagerfeld designed it for him. Karl’s last design. It’s tailor made for him. I think it fits how it was meant to. He’s a big guy, that’s just how it is.

  2. Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa honored the late Karl Lagerfeld through their fashion at the 2019 Oscars.

“We have the honor of wearing Karl Lagerfeld, [Fendi Creative Director of Menswear Silvia Venturini Fendi] designed Jason’s tux personally for him, and this is from [Karl’s] last couture collection from Fendi,” Bonet said on the ABC red carpet pre-show. Lagerfeld, the longtime creative director for Fendi and Chanel, passed away at age 85 on Feb. 19 just two days before his final Fendi show was presented at Milan Fashion Week.

Bonet’s muted pink Fendi Couture tea-length dress featured sequins and intricate floral embellishments. She accessorized the sentimental design with a metallic pink clutch, spiked Fernando Jorge diamond and yellow gold earrings, two Jacquie Aiche opal bracelets, a Mattia Cielo diamond arm cuff and pointed toe booties.

Momoa coordinated his pale pink velvet Fendi suit to his wife’s ensemble, and added his own personal, quirky touch by sporting a velvet Fendi scrunchie around his right wrist, multiple stacked necklaces and patent leather boots.
