Sylvester Stallone is riding high this week after his movie The Expendables cleaned up at the boxoffice. One guy not totally thrilled with Sly’s success is Jean-Claude Van Damme. Early on, Sly had invited Jean-Claude to join the cast but wouldn’t tell him much about the movie except it had lots of action, humor, and he thought it would be fun if Van Damme’s character would lose in a fight with Jet-Li. Van Damme didn’t see the humor in THAT, and passed on the movie. After it opened, Sly called Jean-Claude and smirked “I told you so.” Sly is already working on a sequal and plans on giving Van Damme another chance – if he loosens up.

Stallone is the one who needs to loosen up. What kind of @$$%^& tries to trick someone into being in a movie without saying a thing about it.
He is a prize @$$, always has been.
And to think that I didn’t think anything could lower my opinion of Stallone.
Note that all these muscle men are midgets.
I am not surprised that he regrets the decision. What else does he have going on these days?

This is so great for Stallone and yeah Van Damme better jump on the bandwagon I cant believe he still has that ego after all these years lol I bet he gets killed in the first 5 minutes in the sequel

I hope Jean Claude Van Damme do not turn down the offer because he would have to lose in a fight with Jet Li.He should feel privileged to fight with such a martial artist as Jet Li…

Too much star power in the movie and it was over the top and thank god all this men…Did not charge an arm and a leg and matter of fact it would had took the whole price of seattle to pay this guys pay checks for one day of work and that means all the money from every working family for a years worth of pay?
Talking about hurting some one pocket books and Jean Claude turned down this role…good cause it would had been over kill and of course…You should be sorry that you turned down working with all this men…My goodness what where you thinking?
Jean Claude van damme didn’t star in the original role because to him he thinks that losing to jet Li is unlikely. But now he will be in the sequel as the main villain.
Jean claude van damme is just as real a martial artist as jet Li.
