We’ve often wondered why young actresses like Jennifer Lawrence who seem so natural in real life, choose to drape themselves in diamonds on the red carpet like much older women. It seems so out of character. It turns out jewelers like Chopard and Bulgari and Tiffany PAY these actresses a fortune to flaunt their jewels and sometimes they even get to keep the baubles! Page Six says Jennifer is being paid $100,000 by Chopard to wear their jewels to The Golden Globes. The only drawback is it limits their choice of dresses. Bulgari is supposedly spending $500,000 to bribe stars to wear their diamonds tonight at the Globes. But that’s nothing compared to the $750,000 that Tiffany & Co. paid Anne Hathaway when she HOSTED the Oscars. It’s STAGGERING, and everyone’s denying it – does that mean somebody’s dodging paying taxes on all this? (Keep in mind these young actresses are ALSO being paid to wear designer dresses and other accessories!)

Who among us would turn down a pile of cash to wear diamonds or designer dresses? Certainly not me. Janet, you make these bribes sound positively criminal when there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Wow, so you have a photo of Jennifer Lawrence up there, quotes from an “unnamed source”, etc.,. Interesting. So, who paid YOU to write this article in an attempt to slam Lawrence’s reputation?. Apparently, it’s something that happens but no one really has all the details (NY POST???)real trustworthy. Both Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway are locks to win at the Globes tonight, are up for Oscars, etc., so the timing of the article is suspicious…it’s meant to slam them, right?.
I actually care MORE about the Corporate Bankers/politicians who lie and rip us off on a daily basis than the celebrities and their supposed swag. How do you know that the money isn’t donated to charity??…and again, speaking of “bribes”, how much were you paid to write this slam piece the night of the Globes?…what were you offered?. A great big photo of Lawrence, an article with questionable “sources”, on the night of the Globes and all during awards season. It’s really obvious what you’re trying to do here.

They still have to pay taxes on the money. It’s not like the issuers won’t give them 1099s.

I think I have ‘young actress’ overload. Enough Anne Hathaway already. Enough Jessica Chastain and the rest. Not only wearing the diamonds but getting paid for it. Praised for being talented and beautiful and blah blah blah… enough for a while.

Like Colin, I am sick of these starlets, especially the boyish looking Anne Hathaway, who btw cannot sing in Les Miz.
I would have taken the cash and given to charity or set up college scholarships.
