JIM CARREY DOESN’T TURN HIS BACK ON HIS YOUNG FANS

Jim Carrey is irresistible to kids. He was having lunch with friends at celebrity hangout Bar Pitti in New York when a bunch of kids approached his table. Instead of waving them away, he kindly took time for autographs and photos. He has a movie coming out on June 17 called “Mr Popper’s Penguins” that the kids will love. It’s about a businessman who inherits six penguins and he transforms his apartment into a winter playground for them.

  1. He’s up. He’s down.
    Here, he’s up.
Does he still call himself the autism whisperer? Damn that was a stupid, irritating thing to say.

  2. He does really seem like an authentically nice guy.

  3. He is one of my all time favorites. He ties with Tom Hanks in the number 2 position (Jimmy Stewart is number 1). He is so loved for his comedic skills that he is overlooked for his dramatic roles. He’ll be one of those that they look back over in ten-twenty years and say how truly wonderful he was in most of his movies.

  4. The kid asked him for a spare condom and Jim unrolled 10 and gave them to the kid.

  5. Jim seems like he would be a nice guy, but at the same time he would drive me nuts!!

  6. read his lips: THIS MAN REALLY CARES, folks!!

  7. I agree Cal…I think he’s probably really nice, but it would wear you down to be around him all the time.

Ditto Walt Cliff…Jimmy Stewart, still my all time favorite actor…he rocked!

  8. Does anyone remember him on “In Living Color” as Fire Marshal Bill? Truly hysterical.

  9. Denise, I remember Fire Marshal Bill well. I use to howl with laughter every time he was on. I remember a lot of the early ones like ….Doing Time on Maple Dr. (he did an amazing job in that dramatic role)….Ace Ventura movies still make me laugh. Dumb and Dumber is a ongoing guilty pleasure. I never get tired of that movie. lol

  10. Yes, he is an extremely talented persona and I’m sure he isn’t “on” all the time at home, his head would explode. Jenny McCarthy did say he helped her son (with autism) immensely the five years they were together. He has had a very hard life with a lot of sadness it it (as have most people). I think comedians use this trauma and channel it back somehow into the intensity they bring to their profession.
I’ve heard he is a wonderful person in real life and I believe it. I also love his movies, most of them, and was very impressed when he was on Living Color. I thought he stole the show there with his brilliant charactors and his balls to the wall performances.

  11. I respect the man and Jenny McCarthy is a blabbermouth she dissed his badly he said zip about her. He is up she is down. Karma!
