Jimmy Kimmel’s parents were truly astonished when he had them ejected from the Nokia Theater in the middle of the Emmys. After his talk show failed to win an Emmy, Jimmy riffed about the fact that his parents had always told him that he could do ANYTHING he set his mind to, but it turned out “You lied to me!” Real security guards appeared and they roughly escorted the Kimmels OUT of the audience. According to Merle Ginsberg at The Hollywood Reporter, their son had NOT told them about this bit because he wanted them to look totally shocked – and they DID. They were able to return to their seats in half an hour.

I don’t like him, I don’t think he’s funny. He is everything that is wrong and desperate about Hollywood.
