Now that Britney Spears’ album has dropped like a rock to #41, her label Jive has all but given up on her. They’re disgusted because Britney wouldn’t cooperate and promote the record, and they’re not investing any more money in it. Jive also took a hit when Jordin Sparks had the lowest sales of an American Idol winner, ever. They’ve already got a new girl to take Britney’s place. Jive signed Australian model-turned-singer Samantha Jade and they have big plans for her. Samantha, who’s only 20, writes her own songs, and sang the title song for the dance movie Step Up. Jive will be releasing her album early next year with great fanfare. Watch out, Britney!
