JOAN RIVERS: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

We’ve been dreading the moment when we actually have to say goodbye to Joan Rivers – for many reasons. First of all, Joan defied all odds and at 81 was one of the hardest working people we knew. She flew back and forth across the country for various jobs every week and never turned down an opportunity to do more. Around a month ago, Joan was at The Grove for a book signing and 300 people were in line when she arrived. She stayed until EVERY person got a photo with her and a moment to speak to her. Joan had a daytime talk show in the early 90’s and we were lucky to become a weekly regular on the show, along with other gossip journalists. Generous Joan flew us business class and put us up at The Plaza. She was always gracious and kind despite her occasionally rough humor. She was healthy and busy up to the last minute of her life, but it ended too soon. That clinic has a lot of questions to answer…

  1. love THIS from :Roseanne Barr

    — RIP GODDESS: Hail Hail, a GENIUS has vacated this realm: Joan Rivers has died.

  2. Joan The First, Most Beloved Jew Saint in the Catholic Church.
    Go Joan!

  3. She was so brave! I have so much admiration that she was a Barnard graduate, wrote her own jokes, paved the way for outspoken women etc RIP Joan Rivers

  4. My heart goes to Melissa. From one only child to another….no one will ever love you like your Mother.

  5. I don’t have many regrets, but one of them is never seeing her stand-up show in person. I have followed her career since I was 8. She was the first person I ever thought was a real star. Joan has made me laugh during very hard times. I will always love her.

I miss her so much already. If it weren’t for Joan, I wouldn’t know who Janet was.

  6. I didn’t like her comments about the kidnapped women, but loved her pro-Israel comments! (We can’t please everyone all of the time and Joan was no exception there.) She was however, funny, a great role model, fearless, talented, and a good friend. She lived a full life right up until the end, so for that we should be thankful. She will be missed, but not forgotten. RIP Dear Joan!

  7. After the age of 80 it is common for TIA strokes in most humans. The brain does not want to also deal with any anaesthetics at that stage in life and only necessary surgical procedures requiring lights out should be taken.
    I don’t think it was a vanity procedure but…
    Shitty way to go.

  8. She was hard working member and financial contributor to the Mossad.

  9. She was a great comic but who could agree with her politics?

“Israel has come under a barrage of criticism since announcing on Sunday its plans to seize 1,000 acres of Palestinian-claimed land — roughly the size of New York City’s Central Park — in the occupied West Bank.”

  10. I am saddened by the news of Joan Rivers passing. My heart especially goes out to her daughter now as I am sure this has broken her heart. RIP Joan!

  11. Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

  12. Rot in peace, nasty Jewess. Sad there are patethic trolls who considered her as talented or role model. U cant argue the brainwashed sheeple….

  13. Her support for a regime that murdered innocents should be discussed and the time is now while attention is focused .

  14. Even when dead, Joan will always be more entertaining and look better than Janet.

  15. Finally, such a nice thread. But then xyz chimes in with unintelligent comments. I wasn’t paying attention but these days if I see xyz or Strom I don’t even bother reading them. Pathetic.

  16. roughly the size of New York City’s Central Park — in the occupied West Bank.”

It is not occupied..the arabs started both wars and lost..now they run crying occupied lies…

  17. My heart goes out to Melissa and her son. They must be devastated. I decided to look at the website of the clinic where Joan went http://www.yorkvilleendoscopy.com – and interestingly enough…nowhere do they state that they perform surgery, only endoscopic procedures which are diagnostic, not surgical. In addition, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, you see that the clinic is not accredited! Lastly, there are no testimonials. Most places can scare up at least one testimonial. This place sounds like a store front clinic with subpar procedures. Rest in peace Joan.

  18. Yep, she was a hard-worker!

Her recent comments (made just days before she croaked) advocating Palestinian genocide at the hands of Zion, were probably just due to jet-lag, bless her heart.
