travoltacut-731782.jpgJohn Travolta who plays Edna Turnblad in the new movie Hairspray, is promoting the movie and doing lots of press interviews, but one network has been BANNED from talking to John. Travolta won’t talk to the BBC. He holds a grudge against the British network since they had the nerve to produce a documentary “Scientology & Me” that has been stirring up controversy. Apparently he considers it to be an unflattering portrait of his group. Early reviews of Hairspray are not so hot either.

scientologists are similar to good germans, they do what they are told.
travolta was TOLD the BBC is prejudiced against scientology and he simply following orders to not cooperate with the BBC to promote his project.

i read on another blog that there is some group of gays out there that are planning to boycott travolta’s rendition of hairspray because of $cientology’s views on homosexuality – that they can cure it– with vitamins vegetable oil and saunas and lie detector sessions? everybody has seen that juicy kiss travolta gave some man just before going on one of his fleet of airplanes.

I saw Hairspray on Broadway when it first opened and thought it was one of the worst musicals I’ve ever seen. So I’m not surprised by bad reviews.

another scientologist who is prepared to throw away his career by following his scientology programming-look what happened to tom cruise.scientology’s attitude to gay peope is disgraceful.they exploit them by offering to ‘cure’ them for tons of money, neglecting to tell them that l.ron hubbard himself declared that gays should be removed from society ‘quietly and without sorrow’.the bbc programme was right, scientology IS a cult, and a homophobic one at that.

    also i have a question!
what is john travolta afraid of?
scientology claims to be about ‘communication’,yet severing ties with anybody who asks too many questions is a common practise in this cult.
why can’t scientologists defend themselves against the accusations that they are in a cult?they are supposed to be the most able beings on the planet.they can’t handle questions.scientology HATES free speech!

He sucks and is a bad choice for this role and the movie is totally unnecessary. The 60s songs in the original John Waters’ film are much better than the musical’s.

I saw the musical live too and thought it was crap. The issue of segregation was turned into a happy, smiley song and dance number, instead of being an angry injustice that is effectively revealed to the protagonists in the original film. The musical trivialized the issue. Let’s hope they have altered this to be like the original film’s spirit for this version. If not, the film’s gonna suck, for sure.

John must have been in heaven being paid to be overweight and wear dresses.

No remake of the original with Divine and Ricki lake will ever compare. John looks bloated period. Hell Ms. Doubtfire looked better than him.

I wish Cruise, Travolta et al would wake up to the fact that they are there for Scientology, but Scientology is not there for them. With each dodgy film they release they become less and less bankable.
Here’s L Ron Hubbard on homosexuality: “The sexual pervert (and by this term dianetics, to be brief, includes any and all forms of
deviation in Dynamic II such as homosexuality, lesbianism, sexual sadism, etc. and all down
the catalogue of Ellis and Krafft-Ebing) is actually quite ill physically. Perversion as an illness
has so many manifestations that it must be spread through the entire gamut of classes from (1)
to (5) above. Over-development of sexual organs, underdevelopment, seminal inhibition or
magnification, etc. are found some in one pervert, some in another. And the sum of it is that
the pervert is always a very ill person in one way or another, whether he is conscious of it or
not. He is very far from culpable for his condition, but he is also so far from normal and so
extremely dangerous to society that the tolerance of perversion is as thoroughly bad for society
    as punishment for it.”
So don’t punish it, don’t tolerate it? The only alternative is to cure it? Is it any wonder why Hubbard’s gay son committed suicide. Well done Travlota, you have chosen your prophet wisely!

Are these people so hard up for money that they have to keep doing remakes of classics?!
They always pull this crap and 99% of the time it’s garbage.
    I say f^ck ’em.

So again what about dress boys autistic son? How is he treated since they don’t do the medical thing?

Travolta is overrated and obviously is gay…What man do you know that will KISS another man on the lips?

Scientology teaches that gay people belong to that group of people that “should enjoy no civil rights of any kind” and should be “permanently quarantined” from society. Those are Scientology’s own printed words, and Travolta supports Scientology. He wants to use an openly gay man John Waters to make money and then support a cult that says John Waters should “enjoy no civil rights of any kind” and be “permanently quarantined.” Travolta is a hypocritical user.

Bev do make a point…Whats up with that…Is it the money he pours into that cult that makes em forgive the fact that he is, well lets say
in closet? What about his autistic son…Do they keep him in another closet for being who he is? Lots of closets in that cult

If they did a honest documentry on his hidden life he’d be ruined.. and maybe tossed out of Scientology as a public mentor.

I’m sure the people at the BBC are staying up nights worrying about John Travolta snubbing them. NOT.

That’s just the point with scientology, they “accept” homosexuality in it’s supressed and secret forms. ( Just like the catholic church btw). He’s perfect for them. Homo guy gets married, hides his sexuality, has very ill son and hides the son as well.
That’s what they are all about, apart from money mongering…..
