Now that he’s single for the first time in almost 20 years, Johnny Depp is reliving his rockstar youth in Hollywood. He was a starving musician in Los Angeles before he became an actor. Recently Johnny moved back to the USA because France wanted to start taxing him and his relationship with Vanessa Paradis fizzled out. Since he got back he’s been popping up all over town at clubs like The Mint, totally into playing either guitar or drums. Most recently he jammed with his old buddy Marilyn Manson. He always appears unannounced and it causes considerable excitement among female audience members, even in this jaded town.

I read in Enquirer (or Globe) he is trying to win back Vanessa. So is this true or not?
3 words: mid-life crisis.
Vanessa was a stablizing influence in his life. Remember before with Kate Moss? Not something he should revisit. He needs to get Vanessa back. And why shouldn’t France tax him? He lives there and profits from the country (i.e. vineyards and wine-making).
I thought the split has not yet been confirmed.
USA is not much different with taxes. They screw u with taxes on everything and in addition the dollar is worth 40¢ so we are paying twice as much for nonsense. The government is buying American debts because other countries finally woke up from their stupor. Foreign countries are dumping the dollar and the fraudelent fed is going to celebrate their 100 year anniversary in creating a fiat monetary system to steal the gold and silver.
Given my druthers. Sipping a snobby red wine in my villa in Bordeaux or blasting the masses with The Beautiful People from the stage with Manson.

Also performing onstage with Manson was Taylor Momsen. Wow, has she matured! I just hope she isn’t sleeping with Manson, eww!

Manson is an entertainer, not the Antichrist.
He is intelligent and articulate. I don’t listen to his music at home but as a live gig he knows the formula. He is self deprecating and funny. The band puts out great sonics and the show is all about having fun, putting on a “show” for the fans and not taking yourself too seriously.
He took up the torch from Screamin Jay Hawkins followed by Alice Cooper, Kiss, Slipknot now after Manson. It’s just schtick for the genre, akin to Gorgeous George in wresting. Shock with humour.
I don’t think Dita is writing a book about how damaging hanging from Manson’s arm was to her career any time soon.

Keep in mine, I am in my eighties and love Little Richard, Bo Diddley, Link Wray, Buddy Holly, Elvis, …..as well as, the Stones, Beatles, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Stevie Nicks (love her), Patty Smyth (and yes, I listen Katy Perry and Lady GaGa. )
Music keeps me young. I love classical and some country (Vince Gill, Hank Williams Sr.) too.

Patrick, you’re probably right. Manson is probably the most normal person around, hence his desire to apear to be so disturbed. I’m just not a fan of him or his evil persona. I mean after all, he named himself after Charles Manson for crying out loud! That’s just creepy!
I really enjoy each and every project…He is working on and what makes it amazing is that he is a jack of all trades.
I enjoy Manson’s music, but in his bio he all but admits to killing someone. He scares the hell out of me because he gets off on damaging people and endangering their lives. (Always wondered if Reznor did too; have you see his uncensored videos? NIN’s music I love though)
PS: Walt, wasn’t Dita von Teese gorgeous with her original blonde hair and natural look? (That was my reaction, anyway. I mean, I still think she looks good; and she has the right to look however she wants, but I just thought she looked so fantastic then)
