Last Friday afternoon, Johnny Depp and Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three were seen on Sunset Strip. You may remember, Johnny worked tirelessly to get the three young men who spent 18 years in jail for murder, free, because the evidence was so flimsy. Actually Damien’s teenage goth style probably contributed to their conviction more than anything. (Try to see the two West Memphis Three documentaries on HBO – a third one is on the way.) Johnny and Damien visited Depp’s favorite tattoo parlor – Shamrock Social Club, and an observer told us Damien seemed to be in a great mood and it looked like they both got tattoos. They do have a lot to celebrate.

I guess I’m probably the only person who just can’t stand JD. The phony cool he tries so hard to cultivate, the sleep inducing acting people seem to love, and frankly, I do not find him sexy.

Huge Johnny Depp fan here and a big supporter of the WM3 so I am reading the comments with blinders on. If someone says Johnny needs a good scrubbing, I am the first to raise my hands to volunteer. 🙂

The reality is that there was a lot of evidence and testimony showing the 3 were guilty. They were found guilty by a unanimous jury the first time and plead guilty the second time before a retrial a few months later.
The three had no legit alibis.
All of this is documented information from legal documents and the mainstream media.
Misskelley (one of the 3) confessed three separate times, once with his lawyer present. Misskelley also told two other people about the crime before he was arrested. Baldwin (one of the 3) told someone else he committed the crimes.
Echols was seen in muddy clothes near the crime scene.
Echols is reported to have either told or bragged about the crime to four people before he was arrested.
Echols also had a history of psychiatric treatment. His reported actions included brutally killing a dog, starting fires at his school, threatening to kill his teachers and parents and stating he liked to drink blood.
Don’t just believe the one sided movies, books and websites. Read about all sides of the case before coming to a decision.
This is so sad. I used to love Johnny Depp but lately, he has been very unamerican and def. not a patriot. I wish movie stars would use their fame to inspire and motivate people in a good way. For example, instead of putting all your time and effort into hanging out with Damien Echols, why not take a troubled kid or even a sick kid to get a tatto or to Disneyland? Tim Tebow takes a terminally I’ll kid to be a guest at his game and you choose to make Damien Echols dreams come true. To each his own!

NO, clearly someone hasn’t bothered to read up on the case before opening their mouth about the case. Otherwise you would know that Jesse Miskelley was convicted in a separate trial on his own accord and that Damien and Jason were tried together. Anyway it’s far too much to get into here but I can assure you he wasn’t given the death penalty because he wore black and listened to Metallica. What an ignorant statement to make.

Peter Jackson paid 10 million dollars to get this fool out of prison, all the while the WM3.org was begging for money telking people to save their lunch money and send it to the defense fund. A good lawyer should start looking into Damien old wife Lorri Davis, and have her give an audit of where all this money was spent. I beleive in a few months Lorri will be gone, Echols doesn’t want a fat women thats 12 or thirteen years older then him, she looks like his mother. I’m so furious those three boys, they are sociopaths. i just watched the HBO documentary, All you have to do is look into there stone cold eyes! They did it, but with the backing of celebrities there released! Bull Fucking Shit! i am so enraged, just waiting for part 2 to come in the mail! Some of you are crazy. Look at the evidence. There was no actual evidence linking the 3 to the crime. There was more evidence against one of the fathers of these murdered boys then there is of the wm3. One of the wm3 was even mentally disabled. Sad, but true. Maybe some of you should do some research into the evidence or lack thereof from the case.

Everyone who still believes the WM3 to be guilty is an ignorant moron. THERE WAS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE. It was quite literally a witch hunt. Even some of the parents of the murdered boys now support the WM3 and are strong enough to see that they had nothing to do with it, despite the pain they must still be going through.
Get an education. This refers both to the case and just in general. One thing I’ve noticed about many WM3 haters is they share an apparent lack of literacy- is this because many of you are from the South?
