Add “Dancing with the Stars” Karina Smirnoff to the list of celebrities foolish enough to take off their clothes for the animal cult PETA. Or maybe these celebrities just want an EXCUSE to take off their clothes. If they really cared about animals they’d volunteer or donate money to the many fine animal rights organizations that use their money to neuter and care for pets – NOT to purchase billboard space for self aggrandizement.

   I’m totally opposed to humans wearing fur and I give a lot of money to animal causes. But until Peta stops exploiting women with their caveman sexist ads, I won’t send them a penny. Karina is a ho to do this.

   PETA is just a bunch of guerillas who really don’t do much except make a lot of noise. When have you heard of them actually putting money towards helping animals? Answer: you haven’t because they don’t.

   Real animal causes like the ASPCA (the commercial with Sarah McLaughlin is absolutely heart-breaking) or the World Wildlife Fund (with Noah Wylie and equally as heartbreaking) actually use their donations to help animals. PETA is just a bunch of attention-mongers who make a lot of noise for a cause they don’t support with anything more than words.

   You may not like this ad campaign, but it’s done a lot to raise awareness. If it raises anything else that probably just adds to its effectiveness.

   PETA is an animal advocacy group. They do not rescue. They also believe there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Can’t believe Janet would be so hypocritical to slam PETA for it yet make a living by doing the same thing. Pot. Kettle. Black.

    Just had a thought….wonder if Karina and the smooooth Mario Lopez ever got checked for sex diseases. If not, they are probably both spreading ‘it’ around. PS: I was wrong about her ex-fiance, Maksim,..he seems to be a good guy and want to settle down. He should think “good riddance to this ho that will take on any man with a large weiner and/or money”.

    I have to wonder how many of these celebrities who take off their clothes for PETA and by appearing in these exploitative ads actually subscribe to true animal activism? Do they wear leather shoes or carry a leather bag? Do they sit their sanctimonious asses down on leather seats in their vehicles or furniture?

    Otherwise, it’s just good old fame whoring in Hollywood at it’s best.

    PETA is right up there with ELF as far as credibility.

    This advertising is so darned old, dated and play out. I do not dislike PETA – on Occasion they do good things. But it is ads ike this that make them look stupid and make pet rescue look trivial. No one will take naked women looking suggestive seriously -if anything this kind of shallow advertising does just the opposite.

    I’m glad to see one celebrity website that doesn’t pander to PETA. I originally thought it was a good organization, until I looked a lot closer. If you want to help animals, please donate your time and/or money to your local shelter, the Humane Society, or the ASPCA. There are a ton of worthy organizations who do not have naked celebs promoting their cause. Please help them.

    I used to work in fundraising for charities and ppl would be surprised to learn that the actual charity only gets about 20 cents per dollar donated.
