Katharine McPhee parked on the street so she wouldn’t have to pay for valet parking, and she left her little dog in the car while she went to lunch at Orso last week. The little pooch slept in his carrying case while she was gone. Fortunately, it was a cool day , but we don’t think this is a good idea. Bad things can happen when dogs are left alone in cars. The little guy was SO happy to see Katharine when she came back.

  1. No one should leave anything in their car which can be seen from the window.
I’ve heard tell of windows being broken with only an empty card board box sitting on the car seat.
Ps. This girl is not a celeb.
    YUCK!!

  2. That’s what little dogs are for. I leave mine all the time during short errand intervals, in my car in his zipped bag and he just takes a snooze. Of course weather is a factor – but if the dog is comfy, it is much better to take him along than have him couped up all day.

  3. I hope that car isn’t moving- yakin’ on the cellphone and dog in lap. Or maybe it is a seing-eye dog and she needs it on her lap to help her see as she drives? Whenever I see dogs locked in cars I like to talk to them and encourage them to relieve themselves in the drivers seat- just punishment for folks who lock living things in cars.

  4. I agree. I would never leave my dogs or cat in the car alone. What is wrong with these lazy people??? Just leave the animals home, where they can sleep and be safe!

  5. shut up you idiots! Good lord. Dogs are fine in the car and would MUCH RATHER be with their owner running errands than staying home. Obviously not if it’s summer or super cold. My dog loves car rides and there’s nothing wrong with leaving her in the car if I have to run into wallgreens or blockbuster. Nit wits!
PS no, she’s not a celebrity.

  6. My dog LOVES the car and going with me on errands. Sometimes I can take her inside and sometimes I can not. But when that happens, she gets to be pampered in her mega-bucks Juicy Couture doggie bed/case and wait in the car hidden under my LV lightweight blanket with a chew toy and water. All you haters need to travel with your own Yorkie to appreciate their portability. My Lucy waits in Style!!! No guilt here!

  7. I travel with my 2.4 lb yorkie Boo Boo everywhere. I got her for that reason and she Loves her carry bag! Often when I try to take her out of the car, she hops in her bag and wants to stay there. She likes waiting in the car.

  8. Look at her bony sholders….it looks like her eating disorder has returned

  9. The dog is fine. What is the big deal. My Rat Terrier loves riding in the car and stays in her carrier when I’m running errands. I take her in places that allow dogs, but not many places allow pets. Seeing eye dogs are different.

  10. Let’s hope she doesn’t have kids; she can’t even take care of a dog!

  11. Leaving an animal in a car is illegal in many jurisdictions. For a reason. And to the poster who takes their dog to Blockbuster, etc., that wasn’t a quick pop in to grab “Talladega Nights”, it was lunch.

  12. You can tell those stupid do-gooder animal rights idiots to shut the YELL up. I leave my small dog often in the car as I run errands and of course I use good judgement with temperature etc… but my Dog has a better life than most and these stupid people need to mind their own business about how other pet owners choose to shelter their pets while on errands. It is OBVIOUS when a pet is being NEGLECTED and NO ONE can ever say that about my dog. EVER. He is loved and one happy camper!

  13. Do you think you should really judge her and say “so she wouldn’t have to pay for valet parking?” If I were leaving my dog in the car, she would be safer w/o the valet!

  14. NO IT’S WRONG TO LEAVE A DOG OR ANY ANIMAL IN A PARKED CAR.
YOU MAY THINK IT’S NOT THAT HOT, BUT AN ANIMAL CAN SUFFER AND DIE …
SMARTEN UP AND GET A LIFE YOU BUNCH OF LOSERS.
