KATHARINE ROSS: MRS ROBINSON’S DAUGHTER

Katharine Ross turned up at the Aero Theater for an American Cinematheque retrospective of her movies “The Graduate” and “Games.” She’s most famous for her roles as Etta in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and Elaine Robinson in “The Graduate“ – two great movies from the late 60’s. She’s been married to Sam Elliott (with the sexy voice) since 1984, and believe it or not, she recently turned 70.

  1. GawdDAMM she’s holding up well!!! I’d have never guessed she’s 70. But then nowadays you can do so much to prevent aging if you’ve got the $$$$$$$$$$. At least she doesn’t look like a freak like so many of them do, like the scary ugly Joan Van Ark!

  2. One of Hollywood’s most talented actresses. I always adored her, one of my personal favorite ladies of all time.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, great film.

  3. The hands are the only give away of her age. Ooh Sam Elliott, now that is one fine man and his voice gives me chills it’s so sexy

  4. She was a hot piece of ass in her time. Not that bad at 70.

  5. But she wasn’t ever that good, her roles were of the standard girlfriend variety. Never got a juicy role, she’s like an Anne Archer or a Renee Russo, a model who can act a little bit. But kudos on her longtime marriage.

  6. She was right next to me at the Oscars in ’75 or ’76–the year that “Chinatown” won–and her face looked much older than her age at the time. I was shocked, actually. As for sexy voices, forget Sam Elliott–Alan Rickman OWNS that! Yummy!

  7. In the late-sixties and seventies, did people really understand that that was a Hollywood golden era? Ross was the archetypal actress of the time – a natural beauty, classy, strong.

  8. amazing…she looks so amazing.she was always gorgeous and a natural beauty
