KATHY GRIFFIN DID THE RIGHT THING

Kathy Griffin’s career nightmare should never have happened. Okay, so she had a small lapse in taste with that photo of a fake Trump severed head. Comics make mistakes too. It wasn’t terribly funny, but we’ve seen MUCH worse. Why did people overreact in such a gigantic way? Internet trolls made a big issue out of nothing – and self-righteous celebrities followed them like sheep. Other comics seemed afraid to stand up for her. Kathy should never have been blacklisted and she shouldn’t have lost so much work. It’s time we stopped being so easily offended and judgmental. Let’s save our outrage for people who deserve it – like R Kelly. Kathy’s no dummy – she made a film documenting her awful situation and yes, we are looking forward to seeing Kathy Griffin: A Hell of a Story.

  1. Hated her before and after the Trump beheading. Have always hated her comedy. She outed Clay Aiken on her tv show which is inexcusable. Then she cried like a stuck pig when Leno jokingly referenced her looks. He even apologized and said his remarks were meant to be for comedy. She can dish it out–and does–but can’t take it.

She knew the Trump photo would cause huge problems but was deliberate in staging the shot. She has fake everything on her body. She keeps mentioning all the celebs and performers who don’t like her or have banned her from appearances. The problem is YOU Kathy. I am happy her career is in the toilet. I am far from a Trump supporter but the photo crossed over the line. She deserved everything that happened to her after it was published.

  2. I agree, Miz B.

I also think the “press” hold some of the blame for this event being such a career ender. If they hadn’t given it so much coverage most people wouldn’t have even noticed it and those that did would have quickly moved on. If reports weren’t condemning what she did they were condemning those that were condemning her. I got sick of seeing all the coverage and in the process I got sick of seeing her.

  3. I agree with Janet. This was an unfunny thing Kathy Griffin did BUT it was not worthy of ruining her career. So many others have done truly awful things yet they continued to get gigs. People are hypersensitive today, but that was not what this was about. This was just a show of power by the President and it was uncalled for.

  4. Kudos, Janet. Nice overview, and I’m happy to see that Kathy’s learned from the experience and is still pursuing her path of exposing Trump.

  5. Much ado about nothing. It’s not like Kathy raped 22 women and destroyed our democracy.

  6. You are right Dan Dan. Bill Clinton should be in jail for raping and intimidating those 22 women and for destroying our democracy. Add his POS wife as well.

  7. This hateful circus clown is not funny. The funniest thing about her is her looks.

She is a wretched human being. Filled with hate towards anyone who gets in her way. Typical liberal. Maybe if she had even a touch of generosity towards others, she could be tolerable. But, we don’t have to worry about that.

  8. I think Kathy is a funny comedienne but she did herself no favors with the bloody Trump head, even though she had every right (and the right of free speech) to pull such a stunt. It was an unfortunate choice she made, though I did understand her point and saw what she was trying to say/impart. The cost was too high though and she ended up shooting herself in the foot, the ass, and then shooting the other foot so it couldn’t escape.

  9. Beheading is not funny and isn’t a way to get a point across. It’s sick. Kathy Griffin did the wrong thing!

  10. Hey Janet, would you think it would be such a little lapse if she had done that with Obama’s head? Probably not. She has a right to free speech, but the rest of us also have a right to react to that freedom. In my opinion she should never be hired for anything ever again. She’s no longer funny, just bitter. Go away.

  11. The photographer Tyler Shields whose idea it was should have gotten in trouble. She didnt deserve the damage to her career when we have a President who rapes women and separates families. I hope the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein takes them all down..and that includes Clinton too.
