In her quest for a “bad girl” image, Kesha, 23, has acquired a removable gold tooth, not unlike the gold tooth Madonna sported in the early 90’s. Back in the 80’s you could buy “gold” teeth on 42nd street for around five dollars for immediate gratification. Kesha (Tik Tok) and Taylor Momsen,17, (Pretty Reckless) are hell-bent on creating debauched rockstar images for themselves by whatever means possible. They’re terrified of being regarded as white-bread pop stars like Britney Spears. Amy Winehouse is much cooler.

Yeah, uhm, even though I have a weakness for Ke$ha tunes, I have to say I agree with previous comments. Neither of these girls wants to be like Spears? Well, that ship has already sailed. If they don’t want to be seen as whitebread pop confections, they need to live a little, learn a little, and stop acting – and dressing – like mall rats.

Neither one of them are talented. Kesha’s lyrics make ZERO sense and she looks filthy. The other one looks like a heroin addict.
They both look like somebody I would see in a Tenderloin alley, digging through the trash. Like Dita the stripper, those looks are totally played out, move on.
Maybe, someday, someone will interpret these looks as feminist statements – an extension of the Grunge Girl philosophy. I just find it annoying.

It’s the only way she can think of to get attention – not the caliber of Lady Gaga by any means.
It IS people like Momsen and Ke$ha who make one appreciate Lady GaGa. You may not like the costumes and grandstanding, you may feel that her music is derivative, but can sing and gives real bang for the buck.
Leave Britney alone and get off her back and she is a good person that is treated unfair and is being talked about like trash and that really hurts me…Because I LOVE BRITNEY SPEARS AND I DON’T KNOW WHY BUT SHE IS FANTASTIC IN MY BOOK AND SHE HAS GOTTON THE CRAPPY END OF THE STICK.
