Another celebrity spawn with modeling potential! Laura Dern turned up to see Raf Simons’ collection for Calvin Klein with her handsome son Ellery Harper, 16. Raf had previously wanted Ellery to walk in the runway show, but Ellery’s father, the also handsome musician Ben Harper, thought he was too young. Ellery is okay with modeling, but he aspires to be a designer. He and Laura sat in the front row at the show and Vogue magazine later declared that Ellery had the Best Hair in the Front Row.

What a handsome young man; sort of an early James Franco, with a beautiful natural tan. 🙂
And born with a silver spoon, in more ways than one: on his maternal grand-father’s side, he is descended from an old, very influential, very under-the-radar, establishment family. Not to mention the talent-stock inherent in his grandfather Bruce, grandmother Diane, and of course his parents, Ben and Laura.
And speaking of Laura, she’s a personal favorite. Despite the drama of her romantic life (that Billy Bob-Angelina situation was like a Twilight Zone episode), we have never seen her less than upbeat–and glowing.
And her work is exceptional. “Citizen Ruth” is one of the funniest, most trenchant films we’ve ever seen. A real gem. 😀
