Gilmore Girl Lauren Graham is not as sweet as she looks. A source on her show told us the actress is notoriously condescending to background players and she’s developed a bad reputation with them. Lauren isn’t popular with extras because not only does she avoid them like the plague (“Keep those people away from me!”) but she has no regard for their feelings. When she noticed a young female extra wistfully eyeing the craft service table she hissed “Get these maggots away from the food table!” (Hard to believe – but a reliable witness swears it’s true!) The girl was humiliated and when another extra expressed shock at Lauren’s contemptuous comment – both lost their jobs. Lauren may be the ‘boss” but extras whisper that she’ll never get a SAG award because she’s so disliked.

For all of you who don’t believe this to be true, I can tell you, sadly, from FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE that –sadly– this is 100% TRUE! I worked with Lauren on Gilmore Girls on 2 occasions, and witnessed it first hand. While all actors are there to work, the majority of them are respected by crew and talent alike, and treat talent (including background) with the respect they wish to receive. Not Lauren. Everyone has a bad day, but her reputation is well known here in Hollywood, and while I choose to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, BOTH times I worked with her, her reputation didn’t disappoint… or sadly was QUITE disappointing. Everyone deserves a second chance. And I hope someday she’ll realize we are ALL there to do a job, and realize that behavior like this will continue to haunt her, until she takes steps to change it, and treat everyone on set with the same respect she is shown.
I agree with this, Lauren is very arrogant. I saw her on Celebrity Poker, and she was such a b”tch to her castmates, bullying and picking on them the whole time (especially the other girl actress, Sarah.) Could she be gay, in denial? I never got the corny GG “humor.” Talking really fast, and not saying anything at all. Gilmore Girls is atrociously lame, and her ridiculous lil’ fans are pathetic. They are obsessed with this pseudo lesbian aplha female to make their lame suburban life interesting. Sorry, Lauren, you’re okay looking, and moderately energetic, but you’re not a real movie star. I hate to write these things, because I wish Lauren was as nice as she cons people to think she is. But the woman is obnoxious!!!!
I’d like to add I have nothing against lesbian women (I am bi.) I just wish Lauren, who at times seems beautiful and outgoing, could be genuinely nice to people she works with. She’s just not that funny and acting? Not so much.
The only celebrity guest I have seen on Kelly and Micheal last year 2014 to walk straight thorough the audience who had their hands extended for a grasp or a high five, by pass them like they did not exist and go straight to the hosts and start talking about her book Someday,Someday, Maybe and the upcoming end of Parenthood.
Why would she not extend her hand to one person in the audience? Just about every celebrity they have touches or high fives an audience member hand but not her.
Seemed so unkind. I hope she reads this. I love Gilmore Girls and Parenthood but I realize if I saw her on the street I would not approach even to say hello. To contast her entrance with that of actress Jennifer Garner on the same show who shook so many hands before she took her seat. Who is the bigger star and the nicer person. I will leave that up to you to answer.
Omg people, a character on a show has no baring on the personality & attitude of the actor playing that character. The sweetest person can play the nastiest villian and vice versa.
Lauren Graham is not Lorelai Gilmore. Lorelai Gilmore does not exist – she is a character embodied on a set by Lauren when she is laid

As for “unnamed sources tell us”… maybe its true, maybe its not. Generally speaking l dont believe people who wont put their name to things (i work in the industry), and this particular story has been doing the rounds for years.
