LENA DUNHAM AT THE EMMYS: PRETTY DRESS ON THE WRONG PERSON
We needed a few days to think about Lena Dunham’s Emmy outfit. The fashion press and Twitter commenters immediately lambasted her for daring to dress up “like Bo Peep.” Polite journalists described her look as “interesting.” Actually her Giambattista Valli dress was quite beautiful – it was a sweet little pink silk blouse tucked into a huge frothy layered pink skirt. But Lena didn’t show it off properly. She simply had the wrong body for that ensemble. It would have been dramatic on a tall skinny model but Lena is too round and short waisted for that particular look. Still, it was a brave choice and we give her credit for not wanting to look like everyone else at the event. (Above, Lena and boyfriend Jack Antonoff on the red carpet)

Just the cotton candy floor sweeper Needed to make your date look more attractive during “your” Kodak moment. Lena should consider firing the stylist who had the audacity to show her this miscalculation of fashion sense!!

Wrong again Janet!
It’s an ugly, ugly dress that wouldn’t look good on any woman.
If Lena Dunham had a stylist help her pick this atrocity to wear, no jury would find her guilty for killing the stylist!

Dunham looks like a regular chick, not like Sophia verega and it drives people bonkers.
she has her own teeth, not veneers and she consumes more than 800 calories a day . people are mad because she doesn’t look like a model and they’re mad at models who look too perfect.
the lesson is you have to live your life for YOU and no one else!

I agree…she should have worn a more form fitting top and higher heels but she gets points for originality and plus she sparkles, has great porcelain skin, a ‘natural’ Botticelli painting woman figure, a very pretty face imo and she’s just so cool!

Yes, she’s a regular woman, but that, that, that monstrosity of a thing called a dress. Just goes to prove that some “designers” are woman haters.

Not even Barbie would have worn this mess back in the 70’s. Yah, she’s brave wearing that Swiffer sweeper.

I don’t think the dress is flattering for her body type. But I do give her credit for wearing what she wants and not caring what anyone thinks. Good for her.

The ugliest things about it are the wrinkled top that looks like a padded flap jacket. Also, yessiree that huge tattoo just makes the outfit even more gruesome.

Ugly wig; yucky tattoo; the worst dress/top ever. She looks like a cartoon character. Guess she dresses herself; she needs help.
