LEROI MOORE HAD HOPED TO SURPRISE HIS BAND BUDDIES WITH A VISIT

The Dave Matthews bandmembers were described as “devastated” when they learned of the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore yesterday. But they went on with their show at Staples center. The band had no idea LeRoi was even in Los Angeles! LeRoi had planned to surprise the band with a visit backstage. Moore had been hospitalized several times while being treated for complications, including a collapsed lung, from that ATV accident at his Virginia farm. He was a stubborn patient and left the hospital early. He really missed the band, who were like family to him, and against doctors orders, chartered a plane to fly to the LA show so he could see the guys. Tragically, that may have contributed to his early demise.

   Janet. Never seen your site before, but your comments were forwarded over to me. I do find them pretty much just your opinion and quite rude. But, I guess sometimes being stuck in your little Hollywood world makes you that way. Next time when it comes to death……be a little bit more sensitive.

    Leroi appears to have had a house in LA. The announcement on http://www.dmband.com states that he had returned to his LA home to begin rehabilitation.
