Mickey Rourke’s jewelry was the talk of the Independent Spirit Awards today. Around his neck he wore a tiny framed photo of his beloved Chihuahua Loki who passed away last week in his arms. Mickey credited Loki with getting him through the toughest times of his life. Hard times are apparently over, because Mickey took home the Best Actor award and “The Wrestler” was Best Film. We’re thrilled that Melissa Leo got Best Actress for “Frozen River.” Which you MUST see!

Love how Mickey has been packaged by the meda as the big ‘comeback’ just to sell a poorly written and boring film.
The dogs, the cains and gaudy jewellery, the dandy-boy clothing, the hard luck story. Wow are they laying it on thick.
The true story behind Mickey’s comeback is what the Hollywood producers forced him to do behind closed doors for weeks. Of course Janet will not mention this story f depraved filth for fear pf legal action.

I agree with chewonthis of 1:39 PM regarding what he/she said regarding dogs. Sometimes a dog can save your life in more ways than one. My doggie mix saved my life, which is a long and sad story.

sounds like there is jealousy towards mickey for his wonderful comeback. He is getting enormous praise and recognition, and people find him endearing.
I find it hard to believe that mickey did not make his comeback on his own and on the basis of being an extraordinary talent.
