LONG TIME NO SEE: “WILLARD ” STAR CRISPIN GLOVER

Whatever happened to Crispin Glover? He appeared in the 80’s as an eccentric character in several movies such as “River’s Edge,” “Back to the Future” and “At Close Range.” His private life was every bit as odd as his characters. He could frequently be seen riding around Hollywood on his vintage bicycle and lived in the same seedy Hollywood building where Johnny Depp lived. Glover had a gynecologist table with stirrups in his living room. He wrote over fifteen books, directed a film called “What Is It?” in which all the actors had Down Syndrome, and recently appeared in “Hot Tub Time Machine.” Above , the 47 year old actor retains his individuality and appears to have a hot girlfriend.

  1. Odd doesn’t begin to describe someone with a gynecologist’s table with stirrups in his living room. How does he greet houseguests? Would you like a cocktail or a pap smear?

And he was in those Charlie’s Angels movies as well. You know, the hair sniffing guy? Looks like the same suit.

  2. did you forget he was in tum burtons alice in wonderland??
    get with the program dude…
what do ya mean what ever happened to him??

  3. I perfectly understand why he is Job & Homeless, folks!!

  4. He was EXCELLENT in the little-seen but very good “Donner Party.”

But he’s definitely marching to his own beat; I think Patrick’s right about this.

  5. He seems to give some of the most interesting performances. Yes, I think he more than qualifies for the word “eccentric.”

He is the very image of his character actor dad, Bruce Glover (a fine actor & acting coach). Bruce is heavier now but even now in his 70’s he and son are remarkable lookalikes.

  6. Walt, eccentric is a term used most for Aspies before they have been diagnosed. Think Bill Gates, Albert Einstein,Syd Barrett,Temple Grandin. Recently Tom Hanks, Dan Akroyd and Steven Spielberg have admitted they suffer from this mysterious disorder. Crispin fits the disorder to a tee and is definately under the spectrum.IMO.
Crispin was excellent in Rivers Edge with Dennis Hopper. His appearance on David Letterman in the eighties wearing the platforms and afro wig was priceless performance art.
