Finally, Madonna has done something we totally support. She is defying PETA by flaunting a fur coat! And a good looking one at that! SO many celebrities nowadays are afraid to wear fur because PETA has bullied them into feeling it’s “politically incorrect.” Madonna, of course has always been active in raising money for AIDS and PETA lost HER support when they announced “Even if animal research resulted in a cure for Aids, we are against it.” ( To this fanatical group, rats are apparently more important than people.) We don’t wear fur, but we defend Madonna‘s right to do so without harrassment. And we love our pets so we give OUR donations to animal charities that actually rescue cats and dogs- not lab rats. Way to go, Madonna!

For the people who keep calling people who wear leather hypocrites, the animals are not killed with the specific purpose of being made into a garment, shoes, or belt. They are killed in the process of providing food. Most animals killed to provide fur are not used for food. That’s the difference.

Fur is for old ladies. Madonna is old. She might have to sell that fur to pay for some plastic surgery. She is fugly.

To all the PETA head on this blog who been whinning and crying because some people have a difference of opinion about PETA…should get a life.
Death is Death and if you wear leather or any other animal and eat them you are a hypocrite on a huge scale. How do you think chickens are killed, they wring their necks or any other way to bring food to your table.
Also let me remind you, that it’s the critters in the sea that you should be worrying about with the 80 mile long’s being predicted that all fish will be gone with in a decade if steps aren’t made…so me wearing fur is not the most important issue.
I blame Disney for this transference of human emotion to animals. I think we need to start controling the alligators down in Florida. Alligator purse, belt, shoes meat should be put back on the menu.
You go Janet…the tide is turning and the rest of you guys can take Heather Mills and Pamela Anderson down to Florida and let them try and swim in a pond.

Killing animals for food is ok – the way nature intended but killing animals strictly for their fur is WRONG! Animals eat other animals but no animals wear the fur of other animals. So there.

Anyone who wears real fur – or is in favour of those who wear real fur – is a vile pig. And to those who do wear real fur – have you seen yourselves recently? Wearing a dead dog on your back is sooooo not a good look. There’s a little bit of sick in my mouth just thinking about it.
Oh, and to that Mary Queen of Denial person – meat for consumption isn’t the result of vile breeding methods and horrific killing methods. In the west, at least. And leather is a by-product of this process. Who’s the stupid cunt now? God, what a total retard you are. Bet you look like a complete trout in your dirty fur stole as well, pig.

I can’t believe how calloused Charlton’s website is. I’m not a member of PETA, but I do believe as human beings we need to be compassionate toward defenseless animals who are terrorized because someone wants something “pretty” to wear.

Good God, people. Let someone wear fur if they want to. All this PC nonsense is plain ass stupid.
Sounds like a bunch of uptight and jealous people to me.

It’s not PC nonsense & I certainly have an income where I can afford several furs if I want to. It’s about caring about creatures who are defenseless against our selfish wants.

I just figured out what Janet is trying to do. The more controversial she can become, the more responses she gets, therefore she increases her advertising. The best thing to do is to not say anything and just don’t visit her site anymore.

Wearing fur is cruel, obscene and obsolete. There are many ways to look beautiful and fashionable and not wear the fur of tortured animals. Madonna is one of the most overrated people on the planet: full of her own self-importance. Photos of her wearing fur do not surprise me in the least. And Just how is ANY animal, a rat a bear a mink a human a dog a cat any more deserving of life than any other animal??
You and Madonna should be skinned alive for your own nasty hides.

Here’s an interesting newsflash — We’re all animals, aren’t we? And when we die, we all end up in the same place. We all have souls, and no animal is more special than the other.
In fact, we’re actually stupider than any other animal alive. We’re the ones who created toxic waste, pollution and disease. We’re the ones who are slowly killing the planet with our gluttonous greed and insatiable appetite for material wealth.
If you think about it, animals should be skinning us and using us for coats. Except then they’d be running around smelling like corruption.

    Filomena, point taken.
All you wrote is true, does that mean animal activits have a right to harass, assualt and threaten people?
    Respect given is respect earned.
You demand other people share your respect for animal life but you do not offer RESPECT to those who don’t share your views.
    This willl not work.

I’m tired of people claiming to “love animals” but in the same breath support the unnecessary killing of animals for the sake of “fashion” or “research”. And to the comment about cats and dogs. Why only cats and dogs? What about ALL animals in general? Must we humans interfere with every aspect of nature for our own gains? Talk about screwing up the balance on Earth!

Some of the comments on this site-Lord, you people are a mess! If you disagree with someone, fine, but why not do it like adults, instead of like petulent five-year-olds on a schoolyard somewhere? Pro fur, anti-fur…me personally, the sooner these precious souls are out of this hate-filled, sorry, sad world the better; I believe they are innocent, and go to a far better place.Could all the vicious vile, hateful, childish name-calling get stifled in this and future debate, please? Or is that asking too much?

Animals are used in cruel ways so humans can live another day, week, month or year. We are going to die anyway. Why should they suffer so we can prolong our death or hasten theirs for fashion reasons. Cruelty is never cool.

Even lab rats feel pain ! Animals are more important than cruel people !! When did an animal rip the skin off a human to wear? People cause pain to others. Why should animals suffer so humans can live another day, week, month or year?

I am a Native American and if I want to wear a fur coat. I will…I wear leather boots, leather sneakers and leather coats and I eat cows, chicken and pork. PETA people are fanatics just like the religious fanatics that do not believe in evolution. If you don’t want to see people wearing fur coats, then stay home in your house and watch the god channel.

To the person that wrote that animals be consumed only for food is lost. The human race has been wearing fur for as long as mankind walked upright. What planet are you from? What do you think they used to keep them warm in the winter. dried leaves from the veggie patch?

Does anyone realize that when you wear anything that is dead, your body absorbs the left overs? It has been proven that cells live in dead animal skin for many many years after. Isn’t it enough that we absorb all dead cells and tumors when we eat animal flesh, never mind wearing their leftover cells to continue to absorb into our precious bodies. It’s no wonder people get diseased so much in today’s society. Wake up already, I thought everyone was into looking after their bodies now adays.
