Finally, Madonna has done something we totally support. She is defying PETA by flaunting a fur coat! And a good looking one at that! SO many celebrities nowadays are afraid to wear fur because PETA has bullied them into feeling it’s “politically incorrect.” Madonna, of course has always been active in raising money for AIDS and PETA lost HER support when they announced “Even if animal research resulted in a cure for Aids, we are against it.” ( To this fanatical group, rats are apparently more important than people.) We don’t wear fur, but we defend Madonna‘s right to do so without harrassment. And we love our pets so we give OUR donations to animal charities that actually rescue cats and dogs- not lab rats. Way to go, Madonna!
For the people who keep calling people who wear leather hypocrites, the animals are not killed with the specific purpose of being made into a garment, shoes, or belt. They are killed in the process of providing food. Most animals killed to provide fur are not used for food. That’s the difference.
Fur is for old ladies. Madonna is old. She might have to sell that fur to pay for some plastic surgery. She is fugly.

I’m tired of people claiming to “love animals” but in the same breath support the unnecessary killing of animals for the sake of “fashion” or “research”. And to the comment about cats and dogs. Why only cats and dogs? What about ALL animals in general? Must we humans interfere with every aspect of nature for our own gains? Talk about screwing up the balance on Earth!

Animals are used in cruel ways so humans can live another day, week, month or year. We are going to die anyway. Why should they suffer so we can prolong our death or hasten theirs for fashion reasons. Cruelty is never cool.

I am a Native American and if I want to wear a fur coat. I will…I wear leather boots, leather sneakers and leather coats and I eat cows, chicken and pork. Does anyone realize that when you wear anything that is dead, your body absorbs the left overs? It has been proven that cells live in dead animal skin for many many years after. Isn’t it enough that we absorb all dead cells and tumors when we eat animal flesh, never mind wearing their leftover cells to continue to absorb into our precious bodies. It’s no wonder people get diseased so much in today’s society. Wake up already, I thought everyone was into looking after their bodies now adays.
