Madonna claims to have briefly attended classes at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor before she took off for New York and eventual stardom. She seems delighted that Lourdes chose to have the experience of attending the University of Michigan instead of a fancy private college. Students were thrilled to see Madonna and Lourdes on campus this week and also in Lourdes’s freshman dorm. (Can you imagine her living in a dorm?) Madonna and Lourdes were also seen eating at a local café near the campus. We’re betting that Lourdes, who is majoring in music and dance, will last longer than her mother.

It’s refreshing to see a celebrity value education( yes, I mean you Kartrashians and Will Smiths).Good for Lourdes. She seems to have a grasp on reality. Have to give old Madonna a nod for raising a decent kid.

Madonna values “smart” and clearly raised her children on how important it is to be educated. As for “being around longer”…Madonna, like her or not, hasn’t done too badly, in terms of longevity!!

Love this. I always suspected Madonna wishes she had finished college. Lourdes doesn’t need to worry about earning a living, might as well have a different experience.

She was probably first year there and, from my experience, the development between 1st year and 3rd or 4th (I don’t know how long the Michigan programme is) is huge, so…it was a good -not a great or poor- start.
Imagine the filth and degradation that this poor child had to endure with her disgraceful Mother…
It’s good to see celeb crotch fruit going to college, and I’m always surprised more celeb offspring don’t finish college or even attempt to get a college education.
I am surprised Lourdes chose a college in Michigan when it’s obvious her mother has no love for the place.
I hope she FINALLY has some semblance of a real life now.
Her bitchy mother wouldn’t even let those kids watch TV, but she didn’t mind peddling her smut to our kids.

1st. Michigan is a very good school with great tradition.
2nd and more importantly, understand that how Madonna supposedly raised her child is in stark contrast to what she sold to other people’s daughters. That was a message of sluttiness and immorality. Hodonna is a hypocrite if there ever was one. Her sleaze was ok for your daugher but not for her daugher. She made millions selling a sick message corrupting the minds of many females. Yet, she shielded her daughter from that same message. Karma will most likely get its way with Hodonna.
While Madonna peddled her trash to our kids yet “shielded” her own, what part of this picture don’t YOU get. After all she was an active parent?
Look I hate her smut as much as you do but it’s out there and it’s our job to steer the kids away.
With that said, how is Lordes protected from the masses; I would think the dangers for her safety are IMMENSE especially since she’s in a DORM?
Lets face it folks, she’s not there for education. She’s there to find a decent guy as look at who her mom hangs out with. Though, I would have thought she’d have her in school in some place like New Orleans where winters aren’t so cold and the food is like out of this world… Fresh fish & shrimp. Heck, who is going to Madonnarama next week in Chicago. Of course, doesn’t Madonna parents have a grape farm up that way – so she’s kind of like screwed… As why isn’t she going to school in Chicago. Downtown and living in a swanky loft condo. She could be studying with Charlie Sheen or some of his lovely x-lady friends as didn’t he recently get married – fool.
