‘MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT” PRODUCERS DROPPED THE BALL

A&E’s reality show “Married at First Sight” was irresistible from day one this season. Imagine trusting “professionals” to match you up with a mate and seeing them for the first time at the altar! All that dating discomfort magnified! The girls seemed sincere about finding Mr Right but the guys – not so much. Our favorite couple was Jessica and Ryan – they are both very attractive and seemed smitten from the start. But it ended with a restraining order! Rumors abound that Ryan De Nino presented himself as a successful businessman (with an ego to match) but it turned out he’s just another broke model/ actor who may or may not also be a drug dealer, looking for a break. (Shame on those producers!) It was also reported that his nasty rages and stormy departures were accelerated by his cocaine use! Jessica Castro did her best but eventually he scared her too much with his temper and threats and she filed for a restraining order. Tomorrow night’s “reunion” show might be interesting – or might not.

  1. A&E, once was “Arts & Entertaiment” now just airs this mindless rubbish. How sad.

  2. Hollywood should be careful about these types of shows…did they not learn their lesson with that old Jessie Rafael talk show where the guy admitted his secret crush for a guy and someone ended up dead.

  3. that wasn’t sally jessy raphael…that was the jenny jones show…but you have the right idea fort sure.

  4. I actually love this show–the first season, last year, had two of the three couples deciding to stay married… and they are still married. I think the experts have great credentials and are also sincere. Having said that… I felt that Jessica should have RUN on her honeymoon. Her new husband’s controlling nature was coming out then, making her do things in the water when she is terrified of water! And, I never could figure out exactly WHAT this guy did for a living. Everyone else in the show this year, even the other Ryan who is a real estate agent, had a job that was made clear. THIS guy would just always show up at the apartment with a briefcase, with the chyron saying he was a “business consultant.” I’m really waiting for him to be outed for who he is. GO JESSICA! 🙂

  5. What they should have done and didn’t was to have each one write on a board their decision and then flip it over. Instead, one’s decision influenced the other. She was soo thrilled he wanted to stay married that she said yes when she should have said no.
