SOS for Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip! Matthew Perry is frantic because the big budget heavily promoted drama series that NBC expected to be a shoo-in, is floundering in the ratings. In fact, it seems to be sabotaging the whole night for the network. Matthew wants to save the show and he’s turned to his Friends costars for help. He’s begging Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow to guest star. So far no takers! No one has really turned him down flat, they’re just putting him off, saying they’re busy and maybe later. Looks like nobody wants to jump on a sinking ship.

I never liked Friends and I would never watch a show starring any of the individual friends.

Best new show on television. I certainly hope that the network execs are far sited enough to give it a chance. I would hate to have all Deal or No Deal all the time.

Give me a break. You make Matthew sound like an idiot. I think not. If this isn’t a classic example of a rumor I don’t know what is!

I have a friend taht works for Courteney Cox and she told me this too. Courteney feels bad for Matthew but does not want to be on his show.

The first two episodes were genius – really – the best of American television! The third was so awful that I couldn’t watch more than 10 minutes, and at that point, I predicted its demise. All that energy put into the first two shows and then who, exactly, was in charge after that?

    Not True.

This show could be a little too smart for this administration.

Kevin Reilly of NBC is a talentless hack that should be the first one fired. He has no concept of what entertainment is, like many execs in Hollyweird. Studio 60 should get canceled, Aaron Sorkin should go on a crack smokin spree, and Bradley Whitford should get his pompous ass hit by a bus.

The show sucks. 30 Rock is a much better show.

Totally believe this story. Big guest stars can draw attention and save a show. I’d watch if Aniston appeared.

They should bring Bill Clinton on the show and write the part where he starts hitting on all the female PA’s. That would be hillarious!

They should put Constantine Maroulis on this show. That would save it.
It could be stunt casting like they are doing on Broadway with The Wedding Singer.
Since Constantine took over in that show it has been sold out.

The show sucks. How could it lose half it’s audience if it was soooo good? The reason is that it got hyped by the inside media elite who the show made for. It’s an inside the industry show. Most people find that boring except for hollywood industry types. Fuck Hollywood, Fuck Studio Sickly, Fuck Actors, and Fuck you!

I heard it’s already been unofficially canceled. it was pretty good but i’m sure $$$ to produce.

Matthew Perry is a HUGE talent and can carry this show on his own. He was fantatsic in “Almost Heroes” with Chris Farley and followed that up with a stunning performance in “Fools Rush In” with Selma Hayek. Leo and Brad should be so talented.

Matthew Perry is a JOKE. His only talent is popping pain pills. See him next year on Dancing with the stars.

Ohhhh because THIS woman looks like a credible source of information… are you sure you don’t post also under the name of Bernadette?
If you are going to claim to rub elbows with the stars… try and at least stand near a card board cut out of someone we recognise?

What is it with you and other yellowbacked journalists that you’re all climbing on a bandwagon made of snuff to take down a show before it has a chance? Studio 60 is the first show in years to ask the audience to think beyond it’s belly button (with the possible exception of Battlestar Galactica). Give it rest and go find a real story to tell. People like you are the reason why television does stink and the rest of the world hates us.

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
