ER doctor and 8 Mile star, Mekhi Phifer, and an attractive date had a perfectly civilized dinner at Arnie Morton’s steakhouse in Burbank. As they were leaving, Mekhi’s date went outside to smoke and Mekhi paused to speak to someone. When Mekhi arrived outside he actually saw a man SPEAKING TO his date! The enraged actor grabbed an empty beer bottle from a patio table and SMASHED the startled guy right in the face, flattening him! The bleeding victim was hustled off to the emergency room and Mekhi and his horrified date scrammed in a hurry. The next day the victim returned to the restaurant and he had stitches all over his face. He explained “I was just asking that woman for a cigarette.” We predict a lawsuit is brewing here.

I was with a friend and her 4-month old baby at the Griddle Cafe in West Hollywood. When we were leaving, she was pushing the stroller out the door. Meki was coming in and not only did he refuse to move out of the way for the stroller, he kicked the stroller hard out of his way. Then he sneered at my friend when she yelled at him and looked like he was going to punch her. The baby started crying and he snickered and walked away. Absolutely true story.
I know someone who was at the incident that JC is referring to and saw everything. JC has it WRONG! The “victim” in question was a very big man who was very, very drunk. He was outside the restaurant stumbling around when another actor (not Mekhi) came out with a woman. The drunk man started getting in the woman’s face and reaching for her. The other actor was trying to protect the woman, which led to some punches thrown in defense. Mekhi came outside shortly after this started and tried to help keep the drunk man off of the actor and the woman. He did NOT hit the guy with a beer bottle. There was absolutely no bottles or weapons of any kind. The guy did end up a bloody mess, but it was not Mekhi’s doing. And from what my friend said, the drunk guy had it coming.
Art chic, isn’t that the truth. Not once when Sean Penn, David Hasselhoff, and the guy who beat Heidi Fleiss act like uncouth cavemen are they referred to as “ghetto”. It’s just a hot headed white man. And it seems that they aren’t to quick to be fired.
And what the hell is Isiah Washington having a personal argument with one person on a set got to do with Black people being trouble makers. Maybe they’ll start firing us black troublemakers when they start ditching no talent hacks like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, the latter who shows up on set late, drunk and high on a regular basis. If that’s not causing trouble, I don’t know what the hell is.

If this story is true why isn’t he in jail. Why hasn’t the main stream press pick this up. I think the story is a bunchof garbage.
