MEN’S FASHION CIRCA 1965: HIS CLOTHES ARE LOUD BUT NEVER SQUARE

Men’s fashion back in the sixties was becoming outrageous, thanks to the rock stars. Here’s a little fashion show appropriately played out to the Kinks’ tune “Dedicated Follower of fashion.” Besides the cool attire, watch for famous faces….

Very cool, Janet. Some of those garments are real works of art in stitching, design and construction produced by real artisans. Very cool, indeed.

Dave Davies still loves fashion … nowadays he wears Ben Sherman suits but he still has some nice vintage pieces like an 80s black velvet Katherine Hamnett vest and slacks…his fave shops in the 60s on carnaby st were lord john or lord jim and john stephens and he got custom jackets made from a theatrical costumer

Men who love fashion are rare, indeed. I used to have a huge crush on Willy DeVille, who also knew a thing or two about dressing up…

  • HOLLYWOOD WHODUNIT: LOOK WHO’S NOT TALKING ABOUT HARVEY WEINSTEIN !
    |

We love every one of Harvey Weinstein’s female accusers – but what about the actresses who AREN’T talking? One actress who won an Oscar in the 90’s has been CONSPICUOUSLY SILENT about the casting couch scandal. It’s because SHE has had a long-term “arrangement” with Harvey in which she traded sex for showbiz favors and it must have been awful, but her career prospered. Now this A-lister is horrified at the prospect of being found out! And, guess what – she’s NOT the only one who’s conspicuously silent!
    Any guesses?
