Another day, another fairy tale. Meryl Streep, (walking her dog in the rain, above) and Johnny Depp are about to sign to star in a film version Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway musical “Into The Woods” for Disney. Both are excited at the prospect of singing. It’s the story of a baker and his wife who travel into the woods to confront the witch who put a curse on their family, and the encounter various whimsical characters. Meryl is reportedly eager to play the witch.

I don’t know that she’s the greatest actress because for me I think Katherine Hepburn is the best but Meryl is right up there as a wonderful actress. What a wonderful gift she has given the public to be entertained and transported for x amount of time while watching her movies.

When I’ve been dumb enough to see her in a movie, I think oh great, that’s Meryl Streep “acting” and end up hating the movie. She’s boring.
