A Hoover was a luxury to a lot of women back in those days
Yes janet , Really! In the 50’s this was a big ticket luxury item and most middle class women were stay at home housewives, my mother would have been over the moon with a gift like this. How many women today would like to be stay at home mums if they could instead of having to work 40hours in a job they hate working to pay the bills while strangers raise their kids at a day care centre.
The good old days when a Man was the bread winner and had a purpose in life and had balls…
