MOST UNEXPECTED MOMENT AT THE GOLDEN GLOBES: JODIE FOSTER CAME OUT!

Cheers to Jodie foster! For YEARS she has been sensitive about her personal life, although it was common knowledge in Hollywood that she was gay and nobody cared. She was admired for her long and stellar career and intelligence. We always thought she felt uncomfortable with her “secret.” Two of her closest actor friends, Robert Downey Jr, and Mel Gibson, were with her at The Golden Globes and we have a feeling they encouraged her to open up about the fact that she’s gay now that she has turned 50. For the first time she acknowledged her “ex partner in love and heroic co-parent “ Cydney Bernard. It WAS a surprise and a nice moment – especially with her two sons looking on with approval.

  1. Morally bankrupt Hollywood shoves it down your throat. Disgraceful…

  2. I thought it was a wonderful speech. Of course, was anyone out there surprised?

  3. She always looked so awkward in those weird dresses they put her in back in the early seventies. The husky little girl voice. There was never any male female attraction there except contrived. Wasn’t there a movie where her buddy was a lion?
Then there were those ‘larger’ chicks in grade 9 who didn’t want ME to play basketball with them after school on MY turf??
I just didn’t fucking get it. But all the signs were there.
Kids are way more dialed in now. She had to come out for them.
    To be real.
    Atta be Jodie.

  4. Good lord, her hairdo is a hair don’t. That dress is icky. Why now and on this platform. The stage is becoming the psychiatrist couch. Rdj, I thought he was gay and forced to marry to blend in and to get movie roles.

Presbyterian who runs Hollywood? That is why they are morally bankrupt.

  5. This is more of the “Gay is OK” bs that is sweeping the country.

Put your rainbow back in your backpack and go on with life.

She may have the $$ not to ask for special treatment but the majority soon are asking the government for special favors!

    Send them to Gay Island!

  6. Did we watch the same programme??

She HAS acknowledged Cydney Bernard in a public speech before—way back in 2007 or thereabouts.

As far as coming out, she said she did that “about a thousand years ago” to people she has met, people who are in her life and matter to her.

Her speech last night was about the right to privacy—and the ways in which some in Hollywood sell themselves out for the sake of publicity and attention.

    Looks FAB, by the way.

  7. She came out as 50 and fab! She looks great and sounded as smart as ever. Her heartfelt address to her ill mother was more touching than her speaking the unspoken. I hope she keeps on working and making good film.

  8. I love RJD but what’s up with Mel? How odd he’s such good friends with a jew and gay person after all that crap he spewed. I guess it speaks well of RJD and Jodie that they don’t hold grudges like the rest of Hollywood who run like roaches when someone makes a mistake. It’s good to know who your real friends are.

  9. I live no where near LA and have known for years she’s gay. Everyone acts like this was some colossal revelation but it wasn’t.

I didn’t watch the show but it must have been boring if this is the highlight of it.

  10. The award shows should not be for, nor should they allow all the activism that takes place and which most viewers care nothing about. Once they start the mics should be cut or they should be lassoed and drug off….buy PC Hollywood wont do that.

  11. nor should faintly disguised political or racist agendas be tolerated on gossip web sites either Strom and hello

  12. Astronauts from space could figure that one out. But good for her.

    She’s a lovely, talented woman.

  13. As far as her being “sensitive” as Janet put it, she was private with her private life. A class act. Talented actress and director. She has never subjected us to the fame whoring of the Kartrashians or Paris Hilton. I thought she looked great, her kids are adorable and who cares who she sleeps with.

  14. I want to apologize for being such a hate filled angry white man. If I wasn’t on here I would be out burning crosses, beating people I think are gay, or becoming a serial killer. I hate women, blacks and gays because I am insecure, full of self-hate and am afraid of anyone/thing that I don’t understand. I hope you can all forgive my stupidity, arrogance and anger. I hope to get well soon.

  15. you’ll understand if we don’t hold our breath, but it is good to see some self awareness @strom, good luck !

  16. I admire her forthrightness and have liked her films.

But all I can say is “Boy did John Hinckley get screwed!”

  17. He speach was very confusing and she seems a bit nuts like her pal Mel Gibson.

  18. Obviously that was the little imposter who is afraid of what it speaks and justs wants to get its little jollies.

  19. Brandy dont you a have (ock or a bush to suck on? Go keep yourself busy.

  20. Duh who in the free world does not know she is a lesbian? And she was definitely on something to make a rambling speech like that, she made no sense whatsoever. The Bible still condemns homosexuality; this is not my judgment on Homos; I personally don’t go against the Bible. What someone else wants to believe is NOMB. Nevertheless, who doesn’t remember Sodom and Gomorrah.

  21. “I personally don’t go against the Bible”

    Oh dear, India, hypocrite much?

Doll, you’re at a gossip site, you read US and People and the National En-queer-ior. Bible thumpers slay me.

  22. when I saw her speech I thought she was drunk or stoned. Yes, I think her gayness has been an open secret for years. I have heard her talk about “her beautiful Cydney” before. This gives me the uncontrollable urge to announce to the world “I am straight. Deal with it”.

  23. This is more of the “Gay is OK” bs that is sweeping the country.

Put your rainbow back in your backpack and go on with life.

She may have the $$ not to ask for special treatment but the majority soon are asking the government for special favors!

Send them all to Gay Island!

  24. EVERY species on the planet engages in same sex behavior so it is nothing new it has been going on for 4 billion years.

There is nothing in the bible that prohibits gay sex. But, nothing like cherry picking a fictional book like the bible to get what you want out of it(you church needs you money after all). The bible also condones raping your daughters and killing. But, given the intellectual level of the posters here they may well practice those blessed activities too!

FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ihzwo4ygxk A film about how Christians use the bible for their own agenda.

  25. I’m having a hard time understanding why gays, women or blacks think they deserve equal rights with white men? What happened to the good old days when you could kill your slave or beat your wife with impunity? Yes, let’s ship anyone off to quarantine on “gay island” (a fantasy island in my mind) who isn’t a hate filled angry white man just like me (that includes the American Indians whose land Im living on).

  26. O, Christine, you’re always good for a laugh ! Sodom and Gomorrah, hhaaahhaa … and Hall and Oats, you silly thing

  27. Sure Zelda speaks like a true lover of all things rainbow. For years the GAYS said to just leave us alone and let us be us. It wasn’t enough…now they want to not be left alone and just flaunt their perversions whereever they can. Jodie’s pseech was just more blather and had nothing to do with the awards. She still didnt have the guts to say that she was a full-on dyke, which everyone knew anyway.

Poor little imposter…it just loves to play strom…but it can’t pull it off…now run back to the call center before your boss cancels your last 3 cent raise. You can get your jollies another time.

  28. Again forgive my angry white man fits. Im going thru manopause and my testosterone levels are dropping even more. That is why I need to come on here and tear everyone down. It helps me feel better about myself. I mean face it, I can’t even form a proper sentence (…) and certainly would never have the guts to spew my simplistic racist sexist and homophobic views to anyone’s face. Besides, who would care what someone like me would say anyway?
