MOTHER AND SON

Jon (Napolean Dynamite) Heder is in awe of Diane Keaton, who plays his mother in the currently filming “Mama’s Boy.” Heder plays a thirtysomething slacker who lives with his doting mother in the comedy. They’ve been filming on location in the triple digit heat in Santa Clarita, California. On one agonizingly hot day Diane hired a snow cone cart to service the overheated cast and crew all day. On their last day at that location Diane had cupcakes for everyone delivered from Sprinkles in Beverly Hills. “Diane really CARES about the cast and crew” a coworker remarked. Or as Napolean would say “Sweeeeeet!”

  1. Love DK. One of my favorites. She makes any movie better. And apparently she can call up the sno cone cart in a pinch, too!

  2. Isn’t she wonderful?! I don’t recall seeing any bad press on her…others could take a few lessons from Ms. Keaton.

  3. I saw her totally confuse Ellen Degeneres on her show, when she asked Diane if she and Keanu were having an affair. Diane went back and forth, saying ‘yes’ then ‘no’ then ‘yes’ until Ellen didn’t know what to ask. DK knows how to handle those personal questions!

  4. Seen her around NYC and she always has a smile. A true original talent. Love Jon Heder, too. Sounds like a fun film.

  5. I knew Diane Keaton when her last name was Hall. We attended Santa Ana College together, sang in the choir and even worked at the same theater part time. She probably doesn’t remember me but I remember her well. She was definitely original..wearing black patterned stockings long before they became poplular. In “Annie Hall”, she didn’t do one bit of acting…that was vintage Diane all over…right down to the “la ti da”. She was always sweet and funny but very shy and seemed to come out of herself only on stage. So glad to see her become successful.
