When Nick Nolte, 71, spotted paparazzi while he was shopping in Malibu with his daughter, Sophie, 4, he pulled out a water gun and playfully shot at them – much to the little girl’s amusement. Sophie’s mother is Nick’s longtime partner Clytie Lane. Nick’s next movie, Gangster Squad, with Ryan Gosling, is coming out in September. It’s about the LAPD trying to keep the east coast mafia out of LA in the 40’s and 50’s.

The best movie Nick ever made, imho, is “The Three Fugitives”. Not a second of it is boring. If you haven’t seen it, you are missing something. He looked his most handsome then. Plus, the movie is not filthy, just a great story.

I agree with Noblecascade. If a 71 year old man can still procreate with his long-time mate, then he can marry her. He should be running to commitment instead of away from it!!!
@Walt, you don’t have to say “no offense intended” because how many 71 year olds have 4 year old children? It’s absurd really. He will be dead prob before she reaches her teens. That is not fair. In this day and age, people are having children so young that anyone over 30 with a baby is thought to be the grandparent. That happened with my sister who was in her mid or late 30s and asked “How old is your grandchild?”. It was her daughter.
My sister at age 26 married a man age 47. She looked 20 and he looked 60. However, as you might guess, he was rich and she got to travel the world. Then he fell ill, she cared for him for about 2 years, and then he died.
I agree that crazy Nick should get married. It’s possible though that maybe Ms. Lane doesn’t want to get married?
PS: They went to Sears once to get their picture made. The photog said “how nice it is to see a father and daughter getting their pic taken together”. lol 🙂

I have been a fan of Nick Nolte for years and like all his movies, as for his mates and children that is his business. sometime things just do not work out. I have had some bad experiences of my own. Stress just living today can get any one missed up. It’s his life just let him live it. Life for his child will be good I am sure no matter the age of the father. People are living much longer now anyway he will see her grow up.
