NICK RHODES WAS THE ULTIMATE 80’S PRETTY BOY AT HIS WEDDING

What could be more uplifting on a Monday than a trip back to the indulgent 80’s? We came upon this photo of Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes’ 1984 wedding at the observational Dangerous Minds.net site and it says EVERYTHING about music style in the 80’s. Nick, 22, married Idaho department store heiress Julie Anne Friedman, 25, in a costly over the top ceremony in London. When Andy Warhol met the couple (he had a crush on Rhodes) he remarked that Nick “wore twice as much makeup as Julie” and was “half as tall.” In spite of the decadent era, the marriage lasted 8 years and produced a daughter. (We met Nick at an MTV event in the 80’s and he was as adorable as he was high on something.)
