What’s YOUR take on the latest Nicki Minaj dilemma? Nicki volunteered to speak at her high school to “inspire the students.” Nicki says she herself was inspired at La Guardia High School of Performing Arts and wanted to pass on her enthusiasm to the kids there today. The school Principal politely DECLINED her offer and left the Anaconda singer mystified. Granted, the students would have loved to see Nicki – so did the Principal do the right thing?

  1. Yes. I think there are many other people out there that could inspire the students. People that aren’t known for their rear end.

  2. High Schools are really not the place. As they’ll say one thing and do another, probably from the advice of their publicist as their falling out of favor or whatever.

Probably a great way to support the arts is to build ones own performing arts center in a community that really needs it. Which could also double as a MUSEUM.

Like where is Hefner going to build his Playboy Library. Since after that guy just sat on his bed a lot. Wonder how many people would balk at the idea of the Playboy Hostel and Library.

  3. What else could a principal do? Minaj dug her own hole with that last video. Her heart is in the right place, but few parents would appreciate their daughters being ‘inspired’ by Minaj.

  4. When you are only known for your butt you are not someone to emulate. The educators know this.

  5. Let her come to the high school. So what. All of the kids have seen her big rear end on YouTube, TMZ, etc. She would probably behave herself with the speech. And, if she didn’t act in a dignified manner, then the next day the principal should instruct all the teachers to tell the students to NOT follow in her butt-steps. er I mean foot-steps.

  6. Sorry but this girl is a pig. She is not someone to emulate or aspire to. Schools are places of higher education to help the young succeed in this world with dignity and intelligence. She’s just awful.

  8. The principal has said that she is welcome to come and speak. The issue is that she wanted to film it and would have also disrupted learning. At that point the principal said no. There is more to the story than it just being ‘Nicki is a celebrity and not allowed to speak’. It has to do with the students’ privacy issues as well.

  9. And this place inspired me to be me! Listen up.. What did you learn? The most important thing they said is.. How low down ya gots to go to entertain people.. do it.. that is a sure way to success and wealth! I am living proof.
