Nicole Kidman married the right man this time around. She arrived at the Cannes premier of her steamy Southern noir film “The Paperboy” with hubby Keith Urban sweetly carrying her handbag for her. Tom Cruise didn’t do that – he had a Scientologist do the carrying. Unfortunately, much of the stuffy audience at Cannes laughed at the wrong times during Nicole’s movie. It’s had mixed reviews to say the least – the movie was described as “so bad it’s good,” and “queasily funny” (especially the scene where Nicole’s character pees on Zac Efron’s character after he’s bitten by a jelly fish.) although some observers really liked it. Everyone who saw it agreed the actor’s performances were exceptional.

Kinda surprised no one ever mentions that Nicole has one of the best asses in the world—and beautiful breasts, too. Seems like with her height, her voluptuousness gets overlooked.

She’s an ice queen. I don’t believe she is in a real marriage with Urban. (My opinion of course.)

Urban seems like a nice guy. I enjoy his music. Kidman is talented but I found her unbelievable with Cruise and also with Urban. Fake.

Walt, I’m with you. There is something about her that seems stuck-up, ice-cold, and unfriendly. In fact, I read in the Enquirer that she snubbed 4 teenage girls who asked for her autograph. And, don’t even start talking about all the botox and lip fillers she has had.

And to finish off this rant, I wonder sometimes if most of her 10-year marriage to Tom was fighting about her defiance to Scientology. To her credit, if the marriage broke up because she refused to kow-tow to crazy Tom Thumb and his Scientology, well, that is one PLUS for her.

And now, forgetting any and all gossip, I’d like to remember and pray for all the past, present and future men and women in the military.

Indy, I believe that her marriage to Cruise was a special arrangement only. It benefited both of them. In addition, I feel that it is also an arrangement of sorts between Kidman and Urban. I don’t believe Kidman was ever pregnant either.

Walt, the bottom line, imho, is that there is a strange aura of mystery around Nicole, Tom, the 2 adopted kids, and Keith. If we knew all the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth, we would probably be shocked. And it is so strange that Nicole would take on a serial cheater who has been in and out of re-hab, not to mention one that is so much shorter than her. I believe the cult of Scientology is playing a large part somewhere in there. One thing for sure is: Tiny Tom Thumb is nuttier than a fruitcake and is so into Scientology that I believe his brain is fried.

I’ll just pipe in with my thoughts: I think they’re the real deal, and she’s found someone who’s from the same background and who understands her.

Why do straight guys wear earrings? If he is straight. Earrings should be worn by females only.

Earrings on men started with rock and roll guys and spread from there. I don’t know why anbody would be bothered by such a little thing.

When I’ve observed Nicole and Keith together they exude strongly a huge sexual chemistry and attraction to each other. I saw it in her with Tom, but not from him towards her. Just the goofy, all-you-can-eat-smile!

Kidman was never pregnant with Sunday Roast. It was all hoaxed to make it appear as though she carried her own child. Urban is still a junkie too.

Nicole is talented, incredibly hardworking, and a former world class beauty, but there is something amiss, a piece broken.

I wonder if we will ever really know what it was, or will it always be a private hidden terror or tragedy ? Imagine living under such unforgiving scrutiny.

Strumpet’s Trumpet, I agree with the talented and hardworking part. I also agree with the “broken” part. If you look compare her personality in the very early days around the time of Dead Calm and then a few years later, she isn’t the same. Granted, she is older and more seasoned with each movie but something is different.

She was once this lovely breath of fresh air with beautiful hair and a big toothy smile and then it all changed when she started up with Cruise. Each year she seemed a little colder.

i agree with Walt and Strumpet, she seemed more forced, more contrived, less herself, more Tom. False and famous

Nicole has been deeply wounded by her controller.
Her kids were alienated from her by the controller (Tom and COS).
It’s very difficult to lose that fear when it has been realized. A mother’s worst fear is losing the love and affection of her children and THAT is what happened to Nicole at the hands of Tom.
Detaching one’s self from those who have been alienated from you is a self defense mechanism.
She most likely lives in fear that her Urban kids could be swayed to hate her, even though there is no reason to believe it would happen. Think Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Keith Urban, though not perfect, appears to be a very loving, warm man with deep and true love and affection for Nicole.
