NOT A BAD NIGHT AT HELL’S KITCHEN

#hellskitchen #janetcharlton

We just got back from having dinner at Hell’s Kitchen! We were warned NOT to arrive hungry because sometimes the food is a long time coming (or not at all!) The fancy restaurant set is located in the industrial district of Culver City, and we were not allowed to take any photos and had to turn in our cell phones. Only some Green Bay Packer and his wife were allowed to take, but not use their cell phones. Everyone had to sign two page confidentiality agreement and a release. We were seated in a large beautifully designed room with white tablecloths and HK candles and ordered from a small menu with only 4 choices of main dishes. One end of the room featured a bar and the other side had the two open kitchens used by the blue team and the red team. We could see the two teams fussing over their food and red-faced Gordon Ramsay gesticulating over them but we could NOT hear Gordon cursing. At one point smoke filled the red kitchen. Since it was a later episode of the series (for 2013) and the chefs were more experienced, almost everyone got their food. It wasn’t great (mushy scallops and dry halibut – and NO vegetables!) but the waiters and staffers were helpful and personable. Lots of wine and chocolaty desserts made it a fun evening. The only unrealistic thing about the restaurant was the fact that no one had a cell phone!

    Oh Janet, you should have invited Casonia along. That would have made it a really interesting evening.

    I would love to go to a taping of Hell’s Kitchen. That is the only reality show that I watch. I think Gordon Ramsay is awesome. I also enjoy watching his other show Kitchen Nightmares. I’ve seen stuff on KN that would make your hair curl. It’s enough to make you not ever want to go out to eat again and I wonder what kind of health inspectors some of those towns have for those restaurants to stay open!

    I love Gordon Ramsay. The funniest show he ever did with Hell’s Kitchen was the episode when two blond bimbos decided to personally insult Ramsay about the service, and Gordon ask that they be escorted back to plastic surgery where they came from. Priceless.

    LOL Diva! He is so funny. I love it when he finally loses his temper and shouts “I’ve had enough! Get out!”.

    Well if no one had a cell phone then you all got to eat in peace. I don’t think Gordon’s as bad as he comes across, hey, it’s for the ratings.

    @Denise – LOL!!!

    Strange he would let plates of what you described past his quality control?
    Janet, you should have put your big girl pants on and snarled up to the kitchen to throw down with him! Maybe chucked a glass of wine in his face after he called you the C word. Drama for your fans.

    Gordon isn’t as bad as he comes across. He just has no patience for incompetence, sloppiness, or laziness. I’ve seen him show real emotion for the problems some restaurant owners have had through no fault of their own. Deep down, he really is a nice guy and he does have compassion for people.

    |

    BLIND_ITEM_NEW_#CUT

    One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
