On Dateline last night, Ann Curry asked her every question possible, except one: How does she expect to pay the approx. $1 to $2 million hospital bill? It is fully established that she is a mental case and out of touch with reality. She says she does not get government help and that is a total lie. And it’s obvious she got her lips inflated. No one is saying she can’t have as many as she wants. The problem is the fact that she already had SIX children that were being supported by tax payers, then she added another EIGHT! She can have 100 if she desires, but she has no right to have them and expect US to pay for them. Then there is the ethical question of why she would have put all those kids at risk when everyone in the medical community (except the doctor who did this) told her it could cause the surviving babies permanent damage. Today on the Dr. Phil show, the doc had on the show a plastic surgeon of 25 years. The PS studied before and after pics of the Octomom and concluded that she did indeed have a nose job, lip collagens, and possibly cheek implants. Octo is a liar and a crazy maniac. Welfare is very important in some cases. The government on occasion really can help some people straighten out their lives. However, the whole system is terribly unregulated and bureaucratic and allows terrible things like octomom to happen. How did she pay for artificial insemination? Us. The taxpayers. And horribly selfish people like her will continue to do this and profit off of government agencies created to help those really in need until we prosecute her and others like her and enforce our laws. Sorry, but the fact that she has been getting assistance for three of her previous 6 children and that she deliberately tried to have more (while unemployed, yet) children indicates serious instability. How can she even breastfeed? It’s nuts. She has also had plastic surgery and I’d wager she spent money on her face instead of her children that she was supposed to declare to the county.
Those children should be taken away and given to people who can afford them and take care of them properly. There is NO WAY Octomom can handle these infants (and her already grown children) on her own. She would have it very tough even with a husband (or significant other), her mother, father – all combined to help. It is overwhleming in her situation, no matter what, even if she had nothing else to do but change diapers, clean them, feed them, clothe them, and that would be it. There is no way this is normal at all and it shoudl be illegal. She is a nutcase … sorry.
In general, I am not a supporter of invitro fertilization at all. If you can’t have a baby naturally, then something is wrong with your body, or you’re with somebody of the same sex (and without invitro, you couldn’t do it at all). Either way, adopt, dammit. There are children all over the world who need care, so get a life and make a difference. instead of trying to circumvent the natural way to have a baby.
And, I’m a liberal, so there.
