OMIGOSH! THE ENQUIRER CLAIMS PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN WAS A CLOSET GAY

The Enquirer’s sensational claim that Philip Seymour Hoffman was having a gay relationship with his best friend and co-writer David Bar Katz has the showbiz world in a turmoil. From what we’ve heard so far, the magazine claims to have an interview with Katz in which he admits that Hoffman was torn by his gay impulses, and his sexual ambivalence and the drug use destroyed his relationship with the mother of his children. Now it makes sense that if Katz WAS Hoffman’s secret lover, he knows he won’t inherit anything, so he might as well sell his story. But now Katz says he NEVER told the Enquirer he had a relationship with Hoffman! What’s going on here? The Enquirer doesn’t take chances on lawsuits unless they have plenty of proof. Their lawyers okay every word in the magazine. Has the Enquirer crossed the line? This will be a VERY interesting story as it develops.

UPDATE: The Enquirer has admitted they were duped by someone falsely identifying himself as David Bar Katz and apologized for the inaccurate story. We wonder if the fake Katz collected a bunch of money.

  1. Well if PSH turns out to be a gobber the rainbow crowd will have him enshrined. Something is up with all the accolades he has been getting for being a “genius” and “actor of epic proportions” the Hollywood gay press had the gay news and has been laying the groundwork to make him much more than his skills deserve, simply because he was one of them.

Each gay and lesbo that gets publicity makes Hillary Clinton jump w/ joy!

  2. you and i both know the Enquirer slams it out of the ballpark.

  3. For some reason, this just doesn’t surprise me. Because of my years at Star magazine, I also know that the Enquirer wouldn’t just print this without a whole lot of backup. Also, interesting that at the time of his death, Hoffman was NOT living with his long-time partner and kids… but instead, a few blocks away in an apartment that he used as his office. I was thinking that the partner kicked him out after finding out he was back on drugs, but now, it seems it could be that… and more. Hmmmm.

  4. Kind of heartless to dredge this up after his passing. Whether or not it’s true, if he was in the closet, he wanted it that way. No privacy. No respect anymore.

  5. Number 1.
No casual user has over fifty flaps of ready to go lying around. The man was hardcore.
    Number 2.
No user with common dog sense just hot shots himself with the amount he had purchased for future use. That doesn’t add up.
    Number 3.
    I have “Doubt.”

  6. To strom the homophobic critic of the theater arts, it is always wise to keeps one’s mouth shut if one has nothing wise to say.

  7. it’s dumb, this speculation implies there are no openly gay drug addicts.

    gay. straight. wealthy or impoverished.
substance abuse is a terrible scourge through out our society that remains unresolved.
there has been another incident in flo/ ri/ duh of someone high on synthetic pot eating another persons face off.
& we thought crack was bad! crystal meth , k9 and bath salts are melting peoples brains out of their skulls!
all drugs EXCEPT meth, bath salts, crack cocaine and k9 .etc should legalized, regulated and taxed!

  8. I have no curiosity about his sexuality but I found it bizarre when I heard Katz was interviewed and said this. Now I want to know why the Enquirer would claim this & if it’s not true I sure hope he sues them or they print a big apology to him and Hoffman’s family.

  9. Everything about his “death” looks suspicious. I believe he pulled a Paul Walker if u know what I mean.

  10. Poor, MadlyMAd, always ready to wave the rainbow flag.

Call out the gays and lesbos and trannys for what they are.

  11. Very sad about his death and also very sad that people take an opportunity like this to start airing dirty laundry. What good does it serve to start examining every facet of his personal life? He died of a drug overdose. It’s a cautionary tale for anyone else struggling with addiction, and that’s all we really need to know. Leave his family alone and let the man rest in peace.

  12. hmmm, I don’t know if I believe that he was gay, but what does it matter…that will endear him even more to the Hollywood crowd.

  13. The last time i read some apologizes from a tabloid was from Star mag 3 years ago and about Christian Bale at a Weinstein’s SAG party
