ONCE UPON A TIME, MICHAEL JACKSON HAD A MULLET

Just when we thought we’d seen EVERY photograph ever taken of Michael Jackson, THIS one popped up in rock photographer Jim Steinfeldt‘s book called “Rock n’ Roll Lens.” We weren’t aware that Michael ever had a MULLET like Billy Ray Cyrus! We counted at least 23 buckles on what we could see of this outfit. But Michael looked healthy here, and his face didn’t look quite so fake.

  1. That is not a mullet. He had long hair. Here it is tied half up half down in a half ponytail. Not a mullet.

  2. Nay that wasn’t a ponytail it was a weave dammit! And he still looked hot as hell! To bad he screwed himself over with so much unnecessary surgeries! Oh well that hollyweird for ya!

  3. If only he’d stopped with the surgery in 1988 it might have been alright-ish.

And wasn’t his hair all wigs anyhow?

  4. Ummm… first of all, this is NOT a mullet!

Except for his bangs, which were tapered, Michael’s hair was all the same length here(thanks in part to hair weaving, which attached longer strands of hair to his existing shorter natural hair). While performing LIVE concerts however, he wore the section of hair above his ears pulled back over the rest of his hair and secured it in the back with an elastic, leaving the rest of his hair on the sides and back hanging down! During some songs, he would take the elastic out and all his hair would be the same length (ex: during his song BEAT IT)

If you didn’t know this, then you really can’t say you’ve “seen it all”, because Michael wore his hair this way from 1986 to 1999 and there are MILLIONS of pictures of him from this era with this hair style!

This photo was taken during his BAD World Tour, which ran from 1987 to 1989. He is in his performance attire.

He was about 30 years old and in his prime.

  5. yeah but something is wrong with his weiner…he is holding on to it.
