Oprah Winfrey is so confident that her chosen political candidate, Barack Obama, will end up in the white house in 2008 that she’s already shopping for a town house in Washington, D.C. Obama is actually the first candidate she has ever endorsed and last month she raised 3 million dollars at a fund raiser at her Montecito home. Ironically, Oprah was named in a Gallup poll as the second most influential woman in the US – number one is Obama’s competition Hilary Clinton. Oprah is hunting for the perfect greystone in D.C. and she’s looking forward to an active social life there.
Well I hope that it works out for the both of them. Oprah is a huge influence. but i doubt that it’s enough to sway americans. Hmm…black president or woman president?

I think Oprah has figured out that politics and the political game is the last bastion for her to have influence. That’s the reason she is buying a place in DC. Even if Obama does not win (and she’ll push his campaign as much as possible) she is interested in getting into this arena, where there is so much power. Oprah’s biggest goal is to be a major power broker and if she can get votes to the ballot box, politicians will roll over for her. The jury is still out on whether her popularity will translate to influence on election day, however.

I have always thought that Oprah was a racist. She is so false and I cannot stand the way these ridiculous housewives take in everything that comes out of her mouth.
