Peaches Geldof’s family obviously WISHES that she succumbed to “extreme dieting” as opposed to drugs and that’s why the theory is being floated around. When a 25 year old mother dies of drug abuse, it implies that she didn’t think about her children or husband. Or didn’t care enough to give up drugs. As tragic as Peaches death is, it’s also selfish. If she dieted herself to death, it would seem like it almost wasn’t her fault. Sadly, Peaches was another undereducated and overindulged celebrity kid with little direction in life – except to have a good time. Drugs are the most likely reason for her early death. And the children will suffer.

ofcourse not, she cared about her ‘pupils’.

I’m very curious about her last hours and who called the ambulance. The Mail is reporting no drugs were found, but whoever called the ambulance could have ditched the drugs. Just sad all around.

She was a scientologist paying huge amounts of money for “the Purification Rundown. It’s basicaly a drug addict or former drug addict taking a ton of vitamins and spending literaly days in a sauna. Scientology has taken a great deal of heat for that treatment because it is VERY unhealthy and does nothing but empty wallets.

Any family that would name their kids these foolish names is odd and it obviously rubbed off on little skinny “peaches”.

Whatever it was-starvation, cleansing diet, drugs….she had cardiac arrest.

No one was there for her. Where was her husband?

what about the children? were they home when she died?

who found her? who made the phone call?

I feel sorry for her children. Neither of Peaches parents should have had kids. Bob G. is not the humanitarian the press would like people to believe. His Feed The World campaigns were a scam run by his brother in laws PR firm. The latest show actually helped to distract people and gut reform His inappropriate statement to his daughters death gives you an insight into what a jerk he really is.

Regardless of opinions to her upbringing, cause of death, parents, etc, the fact remains she is gone. It is tragic for her family and especially for her children. I am appalled at the shrill tone of the writing and comments. She was a person, a flawed human being. We cannot judge her thought process as selfish or not. Obviously there was a problem and she paid with her life. Reserve judgment until you are sure, and save the sniping. Disgusting….

RIP but hopefully there is not a Amy Winehouse like movement for sainthood for “peaches”.

If, indeed, she was on a purification “diet” thought up by Scientology, well, it sounds like cardiac arrest from lack of nourishment. Remember that Clark Gable died of a heart attack, at age 59, after going on a starvation diet to lose 30 pounds. And Karen Carpenter had, it seemed, finally gotten her anorexia under control but it was too late for her damaged heart. Janet, I bet we’ll find out that drugs might have been a contributing factor but not THE factor that killed her. It’s just tragic all around. Her kids will never remember her. 🙁

Well said Anon. Very tragic and now two little kids will be raised without a mother.

This “article” is mean spirited and is the last I will read on this site. What is the point of being unkind? I am fairly certain the writer has no facts, but even if he/she does, there is no excuse for being so disgusting and disrespectful. I thought the “fashion police” comments about Anne Hathaway were out of line, but this is just pathetic. You should be ashamed.

    How unnecessarily nasty.

Undereducated? What’s YOUR advanced degree in Janet?

AS IF being a mud slinging celebrity gossip is having ‘direction in life’.

    Your words, not mine.

+1 Being a wife and mother of two small children completely transcend having direction in life. It’s fulfilling the fundamental purpose for it or there is no life. I cannot fathom that a female wrote this article. Unbelievable.

Tell it like it is, Janet…your words are spot on!!! She was a selfish mother, just like her own. Boo friggin hoo…

She bought a country home in Kent and has been a devoted wife and mother FOR YEARS now. Her party days were well behind her, and there was NO TRACE of any illegal substances found in the home. It was thoroughly searched by police and dogs trained to sniff out drugs.

Why would you make up such ugly lies and print this story? She’s not even buried yet!

Oh, but Janet is correct. Peaches did have a drug problem and has grown up spoiled, never having to struggle for money. She was famous because of her parents and everything ws just given to her, because of the sycophants who wouldn’t say “no” to her.

    Hey Olga, question..

What kind of person goes out of their way to disrespect a person who has just died?

A person who makes Peaches look like a saint by comparison.

First of all, no one knows right now how she died so stop talking crap! Second, don’t even mention her poor children because if you had an ounce of sense and compassion for them you wouldn’t be talking about their dead mother the way you are! Why don’t you go back to school and become a real journalist instead of the cheap hack that you no doubt are?

Ha, so many people posting until multiple names.

“Peaches” RIP. Peaches had many problems that will come out. Another Amy Winehouse moment without the talent.

I don’t usually go here publicly, but the degree of venom displayed in this article and some of the comments is pretty troubling..

So a word to the truly wise from Pope Francis:

Pope delivers chilling warning to Christians that they must avoid the temptation of Satan…including gossiping about others

Love him or hate him, this guy is a loudmouth who doesn’t hesitate to tell it like he sees it- but there’s one thing he NEVER talks about: his prostate problem. Long story short: he LEAKS! He likes to project an image of macho virility, but under his custom made suits are custom made “diapers.” He’s VERY self-conscious and has absorbent but undetectable “panty liners” sewn into all his underwear, to avoid wet spots. Thanks to his arrogant behavior, he has more than a few enemies and he’s terrified his secret will be exposed and he’ll be forever ridiculed!
