We were wondering how on earth Penelope Cruz would be able to finish her scenes in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4” since she has become so obviously pregnant. Lacing herself into the costumes is one challenge- but how about the action scenes? It so happens Penelope’s lookalike sister Monica Cruz (photo above) is stepping in as a body double for her. Monica can stand in for the sexy scenes where Penelope has to look slim or the active scenes where she has move quickly. And they look so much alike, no one will know the difference!

Good looks do run in the family, and the two look like twins. Why not just have Monica do the whole movie as Pen Pen’s stand in. I am sure her accent is no worse – Penelope usually sounds like Rose Perez doing an impression of Rita Moreno in West Side Story.

You don’t speak English if no one can understand you (native English speaker tolerance is stupid and self-destructive). So what other languages does she speak, and does she speak ’em like she speaks English?

Hello, yes. Unfortunately it is also true that you get further speaking several languages badly than speaking English perfectly. English speakers do not respect their own language, so no one else does.
This movie pales in comparison to the first. It is not as good as the second or third either. It is bad enough that I actually had to stop watching it and take a break. It just seems cheesy to the point of being stupid. There are a few scenes that make it watchable though. The mermaid scene is really cool and reminds me of the quality of the first movie alot.
