In what universe is this acceptable wedding attire for guests? Jane’s Addiction bandmember Perry Farrell and his Hong Kong born wife Etty flew to Rio to attend Guy Oseary’s extravagant renewal of wedding vows with his wife Michelle Alves. Talent manager Oseary is involved with many musical stars and actors so the guest list was impressive- including Madonna (who performed) U2, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, assorted models etc. WHY Perry Farrell’s wife would choose to look like THIS is beyond comprehension, but it earned her the title of Worst Dressed this week.

Was it Diana Vreeland who once famously said, “The key to appearing in a daring dress, is to act as if you’re not wearing it?”
In this case, “Etty” has taken Ms. Vreeland’s advice to its literal extreme.
We do like the flower in her hair–a perfect look for springtime in Brazil. 🙂
Alternatively: you know how some people always take JUST FOREVER to dress–and her long-suffering, fed-up husband (WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE LAST TO ARRIVE THIS TIME!!) finally puts his foot down so definitively, that, barely dry from her shower, she has no choice but to grab the nearest thing–in this case a floral towel and a shawl–and run out the door to said husband’s good friend’s elaborately unnecessary re-wedding ceremony?
That’s what we’re seeing here.
Her saving grace was that she was already wearing her red “lucky working shoes” in the shower–she never takes those off.
