PETER FRAMPTON HAS CHANGED A LOT

Peter Frampton did an interview on NPR in which he talked about finding his favorite long-lost guitar. Frampton acquired the Les Paul guitar in 1970 and always used it onstage. In 1980 the band equipment (not the band) was on a plane that crashed in South America. All seemed lost, but somehow the guitar survived and ended up in the Caribbean. Recently, a guitar collector spotted it and contacted Frampton who was thrilled to get it back. The story’s nice, but we can’t get over how much Peter Frampton has CHANGED! Yikes!

  1. Jesus, “Comes Alive” was nearly 40 years ago, give the man a break. I would guess you’ve (and anyone) changed in 40 years.

  2. God I had such a crush on him. I think he still looks great. That smile…

  3. Most people change a great deal in 35-40 years. WE ARE SUPPOSE TO if we are lucky enough to live that long.

Of course, they look different. Geez.

Went to a reunion many years ago of my college days. It had been several decades and almost no one looked the same. Seriously. Before it was over, they took an overhead projector and projected a photo of us from our then to now and put a name to it. Most of us got dog drunk that night because age hadn’t just slipped up on us but it had beat the living shit out of us.

  4. He is not wrinkled up like I thought he might be.

I went to my reunion back in the summer. It had been 40 years. Out of a small graduating class of 67, we have 18 people left. Most of our families worked in coal and smoked like trains.

  5. I think he’s still handsome as can be. Janet you are too used to Hollyweird where people get plastic surgery and hairplugs

  6. let’s not discuss the size of his balls.
    YOU WON’T BELIEVE IT, folks!!

  7. I like his music okay. He hasn’t had hair for a long time so it’s not like he just lost it. I hated school and would not dream of going to a reunion.

  8. lol at Walt Cliff
Yeah (per lois) let us see a close up of you in a recent photo! Great idea!

  9. Well of course he’s changed, Janet! Why not post a high school picture of yourself next to a current one and let’s see how much you’ve changed! I know it’s a shock; I see some of my old high school friends on Facebook now, and it’s a jolt, but we do age, unfortunately.

  10. Frampton is a surprisingly talented musician — I say surprisingly, because he was packaged pop in the typical way back in the day; and then years later I heard some of the guitar-centric songs he’d written and found them to have surprising depth (say what you will about “Show me the way” or whatever it was called, but “depth” does not apply)

  11. He has aged well. Get off his case, he looks great. Actually, he looks better without all that “Leif Garrett” mop top.
