Everything good about this year’s Grammy telecast was directly due to female participation and domination. NO ONE could top Pink’s amazing acrobatic performance in the sky. She can not only sing (her voice was rich and powerful) but she can do it spinning upside down thirty feet up in the air, AND soaking wet! She never missed a note and her athletic moves were immaculate. She made every guy on the show look drab and boring. As always, Beyonce was lively and letter perfect – we love that she never says no and performs EVERYWHERE. Lady Gaga’s entrance in her “rings of Saturn’ outer space frock pumped life into the red carpet and kept viewers tuned in. These girls gave the formerly male dominated Grammys the best ratings they’ve gotten in YEARS.

Gaga is absurd in a corny way; or normal on another planet completely.. remains satellite and cable ready.. Yeech that face. Boring, overbearing Beyonce.. and her constant need to be noticed.. over her; Pink is a danger-freak but she does have a good voice., most just don’t like her or her music.
Are you freaking KIDDING me? Yes, Pink and GaGa were awesome and so was the tribute to Michael Jackson. But other than that, this had to be the most boring Grammys EVER! And if they actually awarded ten statues in that three hour period, I’d be shocked. What a disappointment. Award shows – all of them – need to be nothballed. No one cares anymore.

I don’t believe Pink was really singing. I think it was a lip sync. But bottom line, who gives a crap. That show bored me to tears and I turned it off after an hour or so. I hate that singers don’t just sing. They have to fly and spin and twirl and dance and wear stupid costumes. It’s all a big and unnecessary distraction. p.s. They should make Taylor Swift lip sync. Her life performances are terrible. Her tones are ALWAYS flat. Hurts my ears.

Yeah Natalie that is exactly what I was thinking. Pink is a great singer but all that cirq stuff was distracting and you can’t even remember what song she was singing – only her twirling around. Gaga’s performance was underwhelming. She IS talented & has a good voice but her act was just her thrashing around with smudged makeup and looking like Dee Snyder of Twisted Sister. Beyonce is played out. She always looks the same – wind blowing her wigs and wearing booty shaking short skirts… eh just boring. Taylor swift is an average singer and gangly. She is getting waaay too much accolades for being mediocre…
While I can appreciate Pink’s athletic prowess – she is a SINGER and this acrobatic display is just annoying. If I want to see Cirqu de Soliel I’ll go to that show instead. That stuff is for backup dancers – not the star. It really diminishes her as a singer.
Pink was the ONLY one of all the over the top acts that actually impressed me. She looked tight and toned and NOT skinny and sick, and her voice was strong and sexy and really great. You could actually HEAR what she was singing about and her lyrics were true poetry and not just gimmicky catch phrases like Gaga regularly does. The airial act was really beautifully done and she never missed a beat and YES she was singing live! I was looking carefully for that because I hate being duped.
I hated Beyonce’s crappy outfit AND her act with her fligging her “hair” around furiously. What the hell was THAT supposed to be? NOT sexy, pretty, or a good dance move, just stupid looking. Black Eyed Peas sucked as well. Those guys are so boring with their mics that distort their voices, same with Jamie Fox. I had to MUTE him it was so horrible!
Pink stole the night and was the only act worth watching all night. The rest were over contrived and just plain boring.

Acts like these have turned the music industry into a joke. Pink & Beyonce were both lipsynching, shame on you Janet for saying they weren’t when it was so damned obvious. Lady Gaga is a fad and will burn out in a year or so. If she was a real singer-songwriter she wouldn’t resort to the weird get-ups. They’re all needy and untalented exhibitionists. Linda Ronstadt just stood there in jeans and sang. That’s all she needed to blow the crowds away was her awesome voice.
I agree that Pink stole the show. Girl looks great and can really sing. Lady Gaga wouldn’t have been possible if we hadn’t had Madonna first. Taylor and Black Eyed Peas: awful as always. Jennifer Nettles looked HOT, but someone like Bekka Bramlett could’ve blown her right off the stage in terms of voice. Too bad they didn’t give us more Jeff Beck. And as for the rappers at the end, either play the whole song WITH THE LYRICS or don’t play it at all. To hell with the protracted censorship!

Beyonce – whorish looking and married to a fugly smart ass, thinks he is soooo cool.
Fergie – ugly face, married to a cheater.
Pink – fair singer, rumors she is AC/DC.
Taylor Swift – unattractive, gangly, titless, sings off key
Lady Gaga – nothing you can say about her would be enough.
