PRINCE WON'T VOTE AGAINST GAY RIGHTS

princecut_.jpg
There’s no need for Prince to backtrack on his recent comments to the New Yorker that implied he was against gay marriage. It seems that in recent years, Prince has become a fervent Jehovah’s Witness (like Michael Jackson used to be.) Consequently his views on social issues have become quite conservative, in contrast to his own highly liberated history. Personal opinions notwithstanding, the upside of this religious dilemma is the fact that Jehovah’s Witnesses DON’T VOTE! Prince and his ilk want nothing to do with politics and they remain neutral. That’s what the bible tells them to do. So in their own way, they separate church and state, and that’s fine with us.

Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, come in the flesh, born as a babe in Bethlehem to be the Savior of the world. So even though JW’s are right to be against gay marriage. they are wrong on this, so they will not go to heaven. The Bible clearly states the only way to heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus. the Son of God, Who died on the cross for our sins. Jehovah Witness is a cult. These are the lost souls who knock on your door with their false message, way off base.

I guess the times have changed and so has Prince, because he sure appeared “gay-friendly” when he was regularly deep-throating a fellow male musician circa 1997.

    Earth to Lettuce Pray:
All those of us who don’t believe in god or any of that saga think that you’re in a cult too.
There are countless religions in the world. It is best if everyone KEEPS THEIR RELIGION TO THEMSELVES.

Lettuce Pray – what on earth is someone with your views doing on a site such as this where we all get to have a giggle and a gasp at drink, drugs, trannies, orgies and more gays than you can shake a sex toy at? You’re prosyletising your own cult there my dear. Back to your prayer group and leave us to consider our filth in peace.

Equal rights and benefits are fine but using the traditional word “Marriage” is not. It is like the manufacturer FORD. Marriage in the MAJORITY is hetero. Just like FORD is a car – but it has branches – such as the Escape, Explorer @ the Expedition. If gays would quit trying to hijack the word “Marriage” Prop 8 would have gone in their favor. Gay IS an alternative lifestyle and next will be threesome challenging Marriage etc… We NEED a base description and then the others will comfortably fit in the process. BUT I do NOT want to see our Constitution altered for every single alternative lifestyle that comes along. Get your rights etc… but quit trying to redefine the basic ideals that America was founded on.

Anonymous ( oh theres a suprise! )at 7.15 ( and 7.16, not sure if it’s worth arguing with someone dumb enough to multiple post their message? )- you sad by-product of the now discredited consumerist system, equating marriage with marketing and branding. Are you a recently fired gibberish spouting middle management boardroom twonk by any chance?
    1) Please don’t try to dress it up as the fault of the gays, that they brought it all on them selves, “hijacking”, etc, all the usual tired old trite cliches of the parrot trained ignorant trying to window dress their bigotry.
    2) I have yet to meet anyone that can actually explain just how Gay marriage will undermine Straight marrage. Or affect anyone else. Or affect Constitutions, etc, etc. Almost every Euro country now has it with no problems, Canada to the north, Brazil to the south starting the process, Australasia, etc… Like gays in the military, America will be left behind, like the crazy uncle at family get togethers still insisting the world is flat…
    3) You utter moron, marriage is whatever people want it to be – all around the world it comes in astonishingly varied and complex forms, not just your bland Norman Rockwell dream.
And last and certainly not least, YES, “gay is an alternative lifestyle” In exactly the same way white skin is. And brown eyes. And being tall. And having two arms. ….. Or in your case having an extra asshole to talk with.

Let the gays come up with their own term/word for marriage. They certainly enjoy using Gay pride to distinguish other events – so why should that not apply to their union as well? etc… The nuclear family is man & woman. Sorry but why should the majority change their definition to accomodate 10 percent of the population. Pick another word and your Prop 8 won’t even be a problem.

Janet, loved “highly liberated history”, very delicately put! That one’s due to become part of my regular vernacular, for sure.

  15. By Anonymous
    On November 22, 2008 at

But 9.20 , how would the majority be changing their definition? You’re still not explaining how this alters anyone elses life or undermines marriage or affects other families. The nuclear famiy? He he he. Oh you’re such a laugh. I like you.

marriage has been defined as man & woman for THOUSANDS of years. When someone says they are married you don’t have to follow that up with ” to a man or a woman?”. You don’t have to guess how to address mail or guest lists or invitations. With Gay there IS a difference. Hetero s don’t advertise “Hetero night clubs” and hetero parades etc… Gays DO – so get your equal rights but go find your own terminology for your lifestyle. Do not go trying to redefine religion either. Marriage has always been about Man and woman for centuries and established. Go invent your own definition for your union. As long as you have equal legal rights – quit trying to redefine mine as a married HETERO.

Marriage was instituted in the garden of Eden by God between a man and woman. If it’s not between a man and a woman then it’s not marriage. Bottom line.

next will be threesome challenging Marriage etc… 7:15, very well put and so right on. So right on in fact you pissed the sh.t out of 4:36 [because it knows your right!]
Then we’ll have the gay room mates marrying for healthcare benefits and the insurance companies will be so swamped with fake claims they’ll raise rates sky high or go bankrupt. Then you’ll have the ones that might want to marry their dog and challenge marriage yet again. It’ll be an never ending mess.

This comment is addressed to Reta:
There is nothing wrong with you having your opinions, but when they are soooo wrong, I must clear issues up.
Let’s begin with your statement that Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe that Jesus Christ is Jehovah’s son. You are WRONG, we believe the exact opposite. As a matter of fact, everything we do and say is because of Jesus and in his name. Secondly, I do suggest you read your personal bible, nowhere in the bible does it read that Jesus was hanged then died on a cross, it states in Acts 5:30 and 10:39 that Jesus was hanged on an execution stake as a reproach. Jesus gave his life; so, we as imperfect human may have life. Also, JW are doing exactly what Jesus did when we go door to door and knock on people doors. Again, you don’t have to take my word, go to YOUR bible, and go Matthews 28:19, 20; where “Jesus” states we are to teach people about his father, Jehovah; which means we must go door to door and tell people about his father, Jehovah.
Lastly, if anyone is off based that would be you. I suggest you read your bible before you go off and make misinformed statements about a religion, you clearly know nothing about.

While we’re on the subject of reading the bible. People that voted no on 8, should read the account in Genesis about what happened to the wicked in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Jehovah’s Witnesses DO NOT BELIEVE THAT JESUS WAS GOD COME IN THE FLESH. That alone is enough to condemn them.

My apologizes to Reta; my response should have been address to Lettuce Pray. But, this comment is address to Anonymous (5:17PM).
You are correct Jehovah’s Witnesses do not believe that Jesus was God; this is because Jesus is Jehovah’s God son. Jehovah God and Jesus are TWO different people NOT ONE.
I strongly suggest you gain knowledge about Jehovah’s Witnesses before up get all up arms and want to condemn them.

10.31 – you’re trying to equate this with beastiality marriage? Hmm, up those meds and read some books. Ones with words.
And what about threesome challenging marriage? Lots of countries already have legalised polygamy/polyandry. And not just the obvious Muslim ones. Polygamy has been officially accepted here in the UK on religious grounds. If it works for people it works and leave them to it.
Your whole argument is about semantics – you agree to allow gays to have the same civil liberties and legal rites, they’ve just got to call it by a different legal name.Weird. Again, you are not explaining how it will affect yourself or anyone else.
It hasn’t in Canada. Or the numerous countries of Europe. Or Australia. Or… And you’re equating this with special gay themed nights of clubs trying to cash in on the market on the groumds that “straights don’t have special nights or parades”? Weird logic.
And I don’t recall saying I was gay – the fact I support others doesn’t mean I have to be one of them. I can’t stand racism and have fallen out with friends in the past over it, but I’m still white when I look in the mirror. I support equal rights for women, but hey! I still have a penis. Don’t presume I’m only arguing because I have a vested interest

Hey 10.12, I don’t remember there being a wedding in the garden of eden, you know, vows, the whole rigarmarole, church service, paper work, license and everything. Does this mean they were actually unmarried?

Rita Jehovah’s witnesses are Christians, get ya facts right, they don’t celebrate much but the one thing they do celebrate is Christs death, once a year. if they didn’t believe in christ they wouldn’t go knocking on doors doing the ministry, which is one of Christ’s instructions, if wanted gods favor.

LOOK AROUND! All you see in this world is hatred, note: even in these comments. Satan is the ruler of this world and it shows. No one knows how to love your neighbor. All of this conflict originated from Satan and it looks like he has all of you in his pocket. When the great war of God’s against Satan comes and he is done away with and God’s faithful servants will live on a paradise earth. It won’t be hard for God to find the ones that go along with Satan. The one that mentioned that JW don’t believe Jesus is God’s son, IS WRONG. You need to do your homework before you make a statement like that. JW have a great love for Jesus and his father, for if Jehovah had not have sent his son as a redeemer we would not have the chance to have everlasting life. Jesus is our savior who’s your’s.

The Earth belongs to Jehovah God and the laws of Him ofcourse. Jesus show 2000 years ago the right way in life…again..and only a “few” do it today ( Math 7 : 11 ) that are only the serios people of the Witnesses of Jehovah God.
On the acts , harmonisation , importance life style the difference bewteen JW and the rest is like “black” and “white” . Prince make the best decision ever…and perhaps others can not understand it but that is because they never ask Prince or ask other JW. From me point after so many “empthy bottle talks” in this worldsystem i maked the same decision as Prince and now he is my brother and we speake the same lanquage as true christians. The matter what you was in the past or what kind of “religion” is not important…that you would know the True and change your life-style according Jehovah God who is the owner of all life……but it save your life, make yourself a better personality and you give Glory to Jehovah and show the people the fantastic future of the Earth where we shall live forever. The most people do not understand why we go “house to house”…..and have no discrimination to anybody….who knock on the door say Jesus i open …..welcome who has a pure hearth and love the True about Jesus and Jehovah God. But we not choose for satan his thinking and doing in politics, war and awfull life-styles. Maybe we lived that style in the past but our personality is changed after that we know the Bible. How we change when we not know the True ? Motivation

  • HOLLYWOOD WHODUNIT: LOOK WHO’S NOT TALKING ABOUT HARVEY WEINSTEIN !
    |

We love every one of Harvey Weinstein’s female accusers – but what about the actresses who AREN’T talking? One actress who won an Oscar in the 90’s has been CONSPICUOUSLY SILENT about the casting couch scandal. It’s because SHE has had a long-term “arrangement” with Harvey in which she traded sex for showbiz favors and it must have been awful, but her career prospered. Now this A-lister is horrified at the prospect of being found out! And, guess what – she’s NOT the only one who’s conspicuously silent!
    Any guesses?
