PROJECT RUNWAY'S MALAN BRETON IS A WINNER!

malancut_2007_08_320x240.jpgDon’t know about you, but we were devastated when our favorite contestant Malan Breton was eliminated on Project Runway season 3. Remember- he was the foppish fellow with the unusual accent (Hong Kong?) and the devilish laugh. We had met him for the first time years before the show, when he was a young boy working in the women’s designer department in Barneys New York. He already dressed like a 1930’s actor. And he had that unique, vaguely foreign personality and sense of fun – not to mention an appreciation of our then – favorite designer Martin Margiela. Happily, the Runway detour propelled him into the bigtime. He has had two showings at NY’s Fashion Week -Spring and Fall 2007. He also has his own store in New York and is opening another in Shanghai next year. So getting kicked off Project Runway might have been the best thing that ever happened to him!

  1. I’m so glad. He took his Project Runway loss with such good grace, it’s nice to see him get the recognition he’s earned.

  2. He was my favorite too – there was something about him.

  5. He is so classy! Any man that channels that much class and sexuality, is the man for me!
Is he married, straight,or gay? When he speaks I scream out for more! More! MORE!
