REFORMED ‘COOL GIRLS’ UNITE – AND ELECT A FEMALE PRESIDENT!

Gloria Steinem’s offhanded comment about women supporting Bernie Sanders (instead of Hillary) “because the boys like Bernie” started a firestorm of misunderstanding. Below you will find 2 paragraphs written by Gillian Flynn that clearly explain Gloria’s reference to a behavior that most women have been guilty of, without admitting it. How many women suffered through Superbowl Sunday, pretending to enjoy football, beer and hot dogs – to please men? These same “Cool Girls” might not realize what they’re doing and insist they LOVE sports on TV and video games, but that’s not how they spend their OWN time. The only way for women to conquer sexism is to unite – that means Cool Girls must recognize who they are and vote for a WOMAN while they have a chance. Hillary supports women and Gloria is RIGHT.

Gillian Flynn on the “Cool Girl”

“Men always say that as the defining compliment, don’t they? She’s a cool girl. Being the Cool Girl means I am a hot, brilliant, funny woman who adores football, poker, dirty jokes, and burping, who plays video games, drinks cheap beer, loves threesomes and anal sex, and jams hot dogs and hamburgers into her mouth like she’s hosting the world’s biggest culinary gang bang while somehow maintaining a size 2, because Cool Girls are above all hot. Hot and understanding. Cool Girls never get angry; they only smile in a chagrined, loving manner and let their men do whatever they want. Go ahead, shit on me, I don’t mind, I’m the Cool Girl.

Men actually think this girl exists. Maybe they’re fooled because so many women are willing to pretend to be this girl. For a long time Cool Girl offended me. I used to see men – friends, coworkers, strangers – giddy over these awful pretender women, and I’d want to sit these men down and calmly say: You are not dating a woman, you are dating a woman who has watched too many movies written by socially awkward men who’d like to believe that this kind of woman exists and might kiss them. I’d want to grab the poor guy by his lapels or messenger bag and say: The bitch doesn’t really love chili dogs that much – no one loves chili dogs that much! And the Cool Girls are even more pathetic: They’re not even pretending to be the woman they want to be, they’re pretending to be the woman a man wants them to be. Oh, and if you’re not a Cool Girl, I beg you not to believe that your man doesn’t want the Cool Girl. It may be a slightly different version – maybe he’s a vegetarian, so Cool Girl loves seitan and is great with dogs; or maybe he’s a hipster artist, so Cool Girl is a tattooed, bespectacled nerd who loves comics. There are variations to the window dressing, but believe me, he wants Cool Girl, who is basically the girl who likes every fucking thing he likes and doesn’t ever complain. (How do you know you’re not Cool Girl? Because he says things like: “I like strong women.” If he says that to you, he will at some point fuck someone else. Because “I like strong women” is code for “I hate strong women.”)”

Get it, girls?

  1. You’ve got to be kidding! No one should vote or hire anyone for their gender or race. Isn’t that what we have strived for in society? Real equality! Not favoritism. The person who is best should get the vote, be it a man or a woman.

  2. I want to clarify… my thanks are to Janet. A vote for Hillary will help everyone.

  3. Billy Clinton who screwed hundreds of women and some of those women looked for support from these hags were instead shamed, ridiculed and stymied. Some of these liaisons were very questionable and should have been investigated? But alas what the Clinton’s stood for were more important then “cough cough” the women.

Then Gloria Steinam wonders WHY? SMH..

  4. this is bull, through and through. gloria steinam insulted women. she worked for the cia. that is a fact. hillary clinton did nothing for women and she blamed the women whom her husband bill was sexually aggressive with. she is and has always been for the 1%. it’s been proven to be the case over and over. you can ignore the truth, but it doesn’t go away. many people are onto her. madeline albright said there’s a special place in hell for those women who don’t support other women. another load of crap by someone who is responsible for the death of MILLIONS of people, hundreds of thousand of children. when she was asked if it was worth it? she answer that it was. i think there is a special place in hell for the three of them. you should not promote this agenda, janet. people come here for gossip, not your uninformed political people. stop spreading propaganda.

  5. Hot damn, Strom really called it this time. Just the other day, I heard someone say that Hillary dresses exactly like Kim Jung Un, and don’t you know, the next day she had on a high-necked khaki pantsuit! All that’s missing is the haircut! She and her husband are evil incarnate. Listen to her talk–she screams like a woman possessed, and she very probably is.

  6. What nonsense. I would no more vote for Hillary because she’s female than I would vote for Bernie because he’s male or Barack Obama because he’s black & anyone who votes that way is an unqualified imbecile. Sorry. But it’s true.

At the end of the day, I will vote Democrat in the general election, whoever it is. Because the real danger to women & women’s rights isn’t Bernie. It’s Republicans. Anyone who doesn’t know that isn’t paying attention.

  7. “there’s a special place in hell for those women who don’t support other women.” my ass. These women ONLY support other liberal women. If you are a conservative woman you are a leper. The way they have treated Carly Fiorina, Sarah Palin and other conservative woman is a disgrace. The only sentence out of that whole mess I agree with is “Because “I like strong women” is code for “I hate strong women.” That is the God’s truth.

  8. Thanks, Nil. Beautifully stated. Gloria Steinem’s background is shady, to say the least. Interesting that Camille Paglia’s once-irritating harping agains the late 70s feminist junta is becoming increasingly precise and informed.

  9. I can’t wait to vote for Hillary. This year and in four more. She’s by far the most qualified candidate to run for the office in modern times. Maybe ever.

  10. Are you kidding me? Women who don’t support Hilary have only one reason and that is because they want to be a “cool girl?” What we can’t analyze her track record as a senator, politician and Secretary of State on its own merits and come up with our opinion? Oh, I see vote for Hilary or just be a stupid “cool girl” as though men don’t love strippers a whole lot more than this alleged fake cool girl. Have a seat Janet.

  11. It is the poor BLACKS and Hispanics who are being played big time by Hillary. Hillary will make any promise but come through on none of them but the poor and dumb cannot see it.

Older BLACKS have traditionally been against lesbianism and they should understand Hillary is a major domo lesbo, behind closed doors.

  12. Dear Strom: There’s room on that bench. Have a seat between Janet and Gloria and begin a conversation. You’re an idiot if you think they aren’t MANY black (and hispanic) people who aren’t having Gloria & Hillary’s BS.

  13. For those who say Hillary is the most qualified, I ask why? What have been her greatest accomplishments while Senator and Secretary of State? Just because she held those offices and those titles doesn’t make her uniquely qualified. There has to be some accomplishments to prove that you not only held a position, but that you were good at what you did. I challenge those who are supporting Hillary to provide an example of an accomplishment.

Reflecting back, I remember George H.W. Bush was openly mocked when he ran for President because he “already had every job in government” and yet now…wow…amazing…we’re supposed to support Hillary because she’s had every job in government! This has made her uniquely qualified! Funny how what was seen as a negative is now suddenly seen as a positive.

And residing in the WH for 8 years as First Lady isn’t a job. It’s an honor and a platform, but it has no official duties and does not qualify someone to be President. As I recall, her attempt at having secret meetings to develop a healthcare proposal went nowhere fast. I also remember as First Lady we had scandals such as the travel office firings, her scandal with the cattle future tradings, not to mention Whitewater and those papers that mysteriously showed up in the WH private quarters. I’m sure there were many others that I’ve forgotten.

With the Clintons you are always just days away from the next scandal. We’re going to be finding out more about the FBI investigation into her email server and how much classified information was actually out there. We’re going to be finding out about the crooked dealings and money laundering of the Clinton Foundation. And let’s not forget Bill spending time on Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean island with underage prostitutes and sex slaves. More scandals are yet to be uncovered. It’s only a matter of time, folks.

Can’t we just agree that the Clintons are pond scum? Entitled, arrogant, and above it all. And pond scum. They are a part of, and in bed with, the 1% that Democrats all love to hate. The 1% include plenty of Democrats as well as Republicans. As an example, all those Pritzkers from Chicago who heavily funded Obama…that family has billions and they are true blue Democrats. The idea that only Republicans are the 1% and are out to screw the little guy is perpetuated by the DNC to make you think Democrats are for the little guy and Republicans are for the rich guy.

Listen up folks, the Establishment is for itself whether it is the DNC or the RNC. Hillary is just another cog in that wheel. She represents what’s wrong with politics and if you think she’s going to get in there and change anything, you’re naive. She won’t even release the text of the speeches she made to Wall Street (Goldman). So let’s see…if she’s for the little guy, wouldn’t she be releasing her speeches to show how much she’s taking Wall Street/Bankers to task and how she’s going up to bat for the little guy? Right. Because she’s not.

To get back to Steinem et al., they are only supportive of women in the sense that they support abortion and equal pay. If you support the legality of abortion, but not late term/partial birth abortion, then they still have no use for you. They only support women who share their viewpoint and that is it. Either tow the line or you are somehow not a feminist.

BOTTOM LINE: You have the right to your vote. To be shamed and made to feel that women should vote for Hillary based on her gender alone is just plain wrong. Shame on them.

  14. Excellent post Natalie!

Hilary is a grifter. My vote is for sanders!
